We are sad to report that Oscar nominated actor Michael Clarke Duncan has passed away. He succumbed to heart problems that began two months ago, when he suffered a heart attack that nearly took his life. His fiancee, Omarosa Manigault was able to revive him with CPR back in July, but his heart problems persisted. Duncan was best known for his imposing stature and larger-than-life screen presence. For many of us, our introduction to Michael Clarke Duncan was in films like 'Armageddon' and 'The Green Mile,' the latter earning him an Academy Award nomination. However, Duncan made an entire career out of crafting memorable characters. He proved to be quite a talent, a force really, across several different genres including drama, comedy, and action.
One of my very favorite roles of his was that of Frankie Figgs Figueroa in the 2000 comedy 'The Whole Nine Yards.' His physical presence was matched inch for inch by his grace and comedic timing. No matter what the part, whether a hero or a villain, Michael Clark Duncan was able to bring menace and amiability in equal measure and was a fixture of so many remarkable genre films. His untimely passing will be felt by film fans the world over. We offer his family, friends, and fellow fans our heartfelt condolences.
What are your favorite Michael Clarke Duncan films?

Comment by Bat21 on September 5, 2012 at 2:00am I know everyone thinks the Daredevil movie was terrible, but I thought he was a great Kingpin. I was hoping he'd play the character again in one of the upcoming Marvel movies.
Comment by thekingofreyes3 on September 5, 2012 at 1:43am I tried to deny this because I thought it was some rumor but it's true you will be missed bro.
