If it's crap ... We'll tell you
That's right all you Spillios! Matthew Hernandez has just vomited greatness in the form of a short film titled "Soliloquy." And with the help of some other Austinites, including Spill's own Andrew Wilson, we are going to broadcast our short film LIVE OVER USTREAM!! The dates and times are set for March 5th and 6th. That's this Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 PM Central Time both days. And since no one should be out partying that early, we encourage you all out there in Spill Land to come join the cast and the crew. Once the broadcast starts at 7:30, the crew will goof around and say some funny things for about 10-15 minutes to give late viewers time to show up. Then, at around 7:45, we'll broadcast the short film in it's entirety, which is about 13 and a half minutes. Finally, once the film is over, the crew will celebrate their makeshift filmmaking achievement by toasting champagne poured into red Dixie cups and taking your questions and comments about our film via the chat box. For those of you out there who are looking to become filmmakers, we have a lot of advice to pass on about how me made this film happen and what we learned during the process of shooting it. But we can't share that info with you UNLESS YOU SPEAK UP!! So show up to our USTREAM channel this Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 PM CT and join us in our big event.
Written and Directed by Matthew Hernandez, "Soliloquy" tells the story of a young man named Christian whose established poet sister has just passed away. While the two were never known for having a close relationship, Christian is surprised to find a poem has been addressed to him in his sister's will. Upon reading it, he discovers cryptic instructions resembling a scavenger hunt. With the help of his friend, Tom, the two set out to piece together a mystery from beyond the grave, one that will slowly change the way Christian thinks about his sister forever.
