Okay, by now most of us have heard. Yes, Marvel has been bought out by the Disney Company. There are multiple threads discussing it across the forums, and I'm sure there are more blogs than this one about it.
All I have to say is: WHO THE F*CK CARES?? This is what happens in a free market, big corporations buy and sell different companies. If you don't like that, move to f*cking China and shut the f*ck up!
Really, all that's going to happen now is Marvel's profits go to the Disney Company, but Disney is not so stupid as to change the format of a money making venture to put their stamp on it. Here is a list of companies all owned by Disney.

None of these bear the Disney name or logo, yet they are owned and operated by the Disney Company. The reason they own so much is because if they only did children entertainment, they would be losing money from adults without kids.
There can be no way in Hell that Disney would start changing up Marvel and lose all their business to DC. All this means is that the money you pay for your next Spider-Man comic or Iron Man 2 ticket goes to the Disney Company, just like if you watch ESPN, ABC, a Miramax Films production, a Touchstone Studios production, read a Hyperion Books book, play an Avalanche Software game, or go see the Muppets.
What does this mean for you 12-40 year old fanboys out there? SHUT THE F*CK UP ABOUT IT!!!! You're bitching about it and speculation just keeps us all rooted in ignorance, and won't change the fact. It could be worse. Rupert Murdoch (owner of Fox News) could buy out DC Comics next. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

yeah i actually just read up about all the companies owned by disney and i was quite surprised. didn't know all that, so i guess there isn't anything to worry about eh?
