i thought it would only be a mediorcre comedy, but I felt it was better. It is based off a bestseller. I thought the cast did an okay job and Marley was cute. It was better than most dog movies cause it was a drama more than a comedy alot of the time. There were many in the theatre who were sobbing. I didn't cause I knew he died, but it was sad. I thought it was pretty good. Not INCREDIBLE, but good.

This film was a perfect example of why it's better to wait and listen to the spill review before seeing a film. If I brought my 4 year old to this film expecting a dog lover movie, my girlfriend would have killed me. lol.

OK, I have a story about this movie...

Two days ago, my family went to the movies. Me and my dad saw "Frost/Nixon," which was fantastic. My two brothers, 8 and 10 years old, went with my mom to this movie, because it is PG and they thought "OMG that is such a cute dog!!!"

Even though this is a PG movie, there is apparently lots of talk about sex and Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston actually HAVE sex. Basically, my brothers came out uber-upset because they saw a shitty romantic comedy with sex instead of a cute dog movie, and the whole night was ruined.

So Fuck You, Jennifer Aniston.

If you can forgive Aniston as a con artist in the horriblly implausible film, Derailed...Aniston starred in the very underrated Friends with Money. A sutble comedy about how women in their 40s flip out when their friend's prize winning money prize husband bites the dust. It's like they feel embarrassed if they have to talk about a friend who is on tough times. It's really well done and its a subject matter that it's touched on a lot...that is women don't want to say it but they feel more comfortable if a man makes more money than they do in a relationship.

They are right about people not caring about herbeing naked. Get naked early in you career ladies. The only thing people remember about basic instinct is the crotch shot. That carried her for 20 years. She never got naked after that. Waiting until you're irrelevant is desperate. Where the hell was the Dog Whisperer when this dog was rampaging around?

Named Marley after Bob Marley. Isn't that the exact thing that happened in I Am Legend? Will Smith's daughter was named after Bob too.

The book was very good so making this a dumb dog movie would be a huge slap in the face.

Ive read this book and anyone who has read it will know how sad it is. The movie looks good but doesnt look as powerful as the book.
