During an interview with Collider's 'Frosty' Weintraub, 'The Avengers' Mark Ruffalo was asked about being offered a multi-picture deal to keep playing Dr. Banner and his big green alter ego. There have been numerous claims that Ruffalo's Hulk steals the show in Joss Whedon's highly-anticipated superhero team-up, which opens this week. Well it looks like there will be plenty more RuffaHulk in our future as the actor let slip during the interview that he initially signed a six-movie deal. With 'The Avengers' in the books, that leaves him five more cinematic Hulk outings by our count. You can check out the interview below, the telling moment is at 1:25.
So there you have it, straight from The Hulk's mouth. Without giving anything away, I have to say I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that Ruffalo's Hulk is one of the best parts of Joss Whedon's film. I am thrilled to see that he will be taking on the role again, but I wonder if we need that many films featuring Marvel's premier rage monster. I mean, presumably they are planning at least one 'Avengers' sequel, if the early box office is any indication they will definitely be doing a sequel, so we can scratch another off the total number of films, but are we really going to get four Hulk solo films? Even if they worked into his deal the forgone conclusion of two 'Avengers' sequels, three solo Hulk movies still seems excessive, especially given they'd realistically have to do them within, say, ten years before Ruffalo becomes too old to play the part. That's my two cents, now tell me what you think.
Outside of 'Avengers' sequels, how many solo Hulk movies would you like to see? Which of his stories could they tell?

Comment by ZiggyOnMars on May 6, 2012 at 6:56am I believe Edward Norton has no taste on superhero movie
Comment by The Fridge Raider on May 4, 2012 at 8:34am Mark Ruffalo does kinda look like a scrawny Lou Ferrigno, so maybe he his the best choice.
Comment by angelo on May 4, 2012 at 1:01am marvel did a great job, as long as the movies are entertaining and the public goes to see em I see a decade dominated by super hero films. thats not even counting what DC has to offer.
Comment by dan smith on May 3, 2012 at 10:20pm It seems every comment is the same as what I thought. Just because he's in six movies doesn't mean he'll star in six movies. I look forward to watching him in other shows and other series with other super heroes. I always wanted cameo appearances by super heroes. I can see it now. All the good guys are held down by enemy fire, one of them near fatally injured, defeat assured..........until out of no where you hear.......HULK SMASH. Outcome=Movie gold.
Comment by Luke Hero on May 3, 2012 at 12:58pm Edward Norton was good, but I NEVER saw him has Bruce Banner, I just saw him as a guy that turned into the Hulk
Comment by Luke Hero on May 3, 2012 at 12:56pm To Me Rufflo is a much better choice to play the Hulk....Just looking at the trailers, he seems to be playing Bruce Banner kind of crazy like in the Ultimates....I prefer that
