Man Sues 'Hangover II' For Stealing His Life Story

As it turns out, that wild, drug-induced party in 'The Hangover II' is yielding consequences for more than just the characters in the movie. The filmmakers are currently being sued by an amateur screenwriter who claims nearly the entire plot of the 2011 sequel to 'The Hangover' is stolen from a script he had written about his own life experiences. The plaintiff, Michael Alan, apparently wrote a treatment based on his misadventures traveling from the U.S. to Asia to marry his Asian girlfriend and claims that his ex-wife leaked the treatment to 'The Hangover II' filmmakers. He is also accusing them of defamation of character in that they added drug use and sex with transsexual prostitutes to his story.

First that lady sues the filmmakers behind 'Drive' because it wasn’t enough like 'The Fast and the Furious' and now this guy is suing because someone made a movie about people traveling from America to Asia which he also did? You’ve got to be kidding me. My favorite part of this story is that he’s suing them for stealing his life story, but then also for defaming him with all this raunchy extra content. How boring was his story to begin with? And I’m sure major Hollywood studios are in the habit of accepting scripts from women they don’t know as part of divorce revenge plots.

Is it just me, or does this lawsuit seem a bit frivolous?

My first thought was "What an embarrassing life story" but knowing that this was his story but without anything funny or raunchy I'm thinking what a boring life story...

You know something, Things like this happen alot in Hollywood, Some no- name guy walks in try to sell his script and gets rejected, and a year later his script is now a movie written by someone more famous. I'm  not defending this guy who said he wrote the script to HO2 but I'm just saying we should wait  a little longer to get more of the story.

If you ask me,the government should create a hit squad of MMA Fighters, so that when one of these dumbass idiots sue a major film studio, they can get the ass-whuping they are clearly asking for filing a worthless lawsuit over some ole bullshit but that's just me.

I don't even know how to go about suing someone, but if there are attorneys - or really anyone other than these morons - involved, then I'm mad at them too for perpetuating this silliness.

See, this is why are law system needs a "You've Gotta be Fucking Kidding Me" clause to straight up dismiss cases like this. Now the court actually has to waste time looking into this.

I can't wait to sue the producers of this film, too!  I mean I'm a white guy who is overweight and they put a caricature of me in this movie!  Where is my lawyers?!?

you guys forgot the lady who's suing imdb for $1 million because it has her real age and birth date! Apparently she's an aspiring actress at almost 40, and says that since her age is on there it might hurt her chances at getting work.   What is it with these idiots and these lame lawsuits
