Machine’s Predictions of Star Wars Movie Spin-Offs

     Hello the all magical machine here and I am here today to try and give some structure to the chaos that is the future Star Wars movies.  Now I like a lot of people were in shock when Disney bought Star Wars well ok not the announcement but when I saw George Lucas sign over his franchises to Disney it made me take a huge step back. I Love Disney and respect most of their decisions as a company. In terms of star Wars I am not a diehard fan but I have seen all the movies played though both Star Wars forced unleashed video games, watched some of the Clone Wars episodes, watched the Family Guy Star Wars trilogy and own two star wars games (Lego Star wars complete Saga and Star wars pod racing). So while I am not a die-hard fan I am a fan of the franchise. Now in terms of Star Wars 7 I think JJ Abrahams will do a good job with the movie even though I have not seen any of his directed movies mainly because I am not a fan of Star Trek.  However with the recent announcement that Disney has decided to do spin-off films based on their other characters proves to be true I am here to try and predict and prepare the movie going world with possible Star Wars films to look out for in the future.

Yoda

Now let’s start off with the one film that was rumored. Yoda ok I think this film could actually work because during Revenge of the Sith and Empire Strikes back we really do not know anything that happens to Yoda during that time so there could be a plot that Yoda actually did something besides sit in a swampy planet. However I think the film would most likely be his origin story and well I mean Yoda’s species has not been named I mean we could see where Yoda came from and how he became Jedi Master. This film however will probably be mostly animated if we go for his origin and weather Frank Oz will return I think if it’s between Sith and Empire Strikes Back  but if not then someone new would voice him. So overall I would give this film a chance.

Jabba

The other movie that I heard might be made is Jabba the Hut and I think there is only one reason why they are even considering this film and that is the Hobbit. In the Hobbit unexpected Journey our main antagonist was Azog who was an Orc leader who talked in an orc language just like Jabba with subtitles. Now I guess there is an audience me included that would find a movie like this awesome however it would only be a very small audience mostly that of creature geeks. If they do make this film it’s going to be for nerds only so that they can collect the check and sell the toys and so he can chain hot women in bikinis.

 Mace Windu

This idea comes from the fact that Samuel Jackson wants to return to the Star Wars franchise and while he could play a new character in Star Wars 7 and think the most logical thing to do to satisfy Jackson is to give him is own movie. Now I personally like Samuel Jackson as Mace Windu and there is a possibility of telling his origin story just like with Yoda with Samuel reprising his role. He is still on the height of popularity and people will go see a Samuel Jackson staring film so I think if a monkey wants to perform and the owner can make money of the performance then it seems like a win-win for both Samuel and Disney.

Padme Amadala and Princess Leia

Disney is known for many films with females in starring roles like Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and recently Brave. So I think it’s likely that Disney will want to give the star Wars female characters a shot at their own film. Padme seems the most logical now because she is slightly more active than Leia in the movies and her whole history before phantom menace is unknown which could have her fighting her way to becoming Queen Amadala and Natalie Portman would be available to reprise her role. Now Princess Leia could also get her own film as well which would be set in between sith and new hope. However they would have to recast Leia and that could stall the film to find the right women. So while both films are possible Padme seems more dueable right now.

Maris Brood

Ok I know she is from a videogame but she has potential. In the game she was described as an apprentice to Shaak Ti who later went mad after her death and eventually got killed herself. However what happened to her before that that leads to a story possibility and there is a fan base for dark sexy women kicking butt (Resident Evil films). Plus the actress who played her though motion capture could reprise her role for the film. They might have to work hard on a script but if successful could be a satisfying female action films for audiences and Disney.

Jar Jar Binks

Let’s admit Disney is seriously considering this film I swear they have a storyboard for this film somewhere in the office. Now I am in the very small minority who likes Jar Jar Binks as a character and is curious to know what happens to him after Revenge of the Sith. Well Disney probably wants to answer that question I mean it’s a clean slate the ideas are endless and they can kill him at the end of the film if they promise that in the trailer hinders of people will pay thousands of dollars to see Jar Jar Binks the film were he gets killed. Woo sa We.

ChewBacca    

Alright for my final prediction I am going to throw something out there that might seem insane but please her me out. Chewbacca has a big fan base in terms of Star wars characters right up there with Darth Vader, Yoda, Luke Skywalker, and Emperor Palpitine. Also wouldn’t Chewbacca make a great stuffed animal I think Disney thinks so too. Besides Chewbacca appeared in the Star Wars Clone Wars series which means Chewbacca is an old wookie and could have a story that takes place during the Clone Wars saga or even before. I know for those of you who have seen the Star Wars holiday special might say that was a wookie film and it sucked well that film had a lot of pointless filler. I’m sure Disney will make a movie with Chewbacca will only minimum filler and huge profits on merchandise.
