'Looper' Trailer Teaser
It's not quite a trailer, but it still manages to tease. This little video blurb for director Rian Johnson's upcoming sci-fi actioner 'Looper' hints at what we will see in the first official trailer, which is due to land later this week. The film centers on a time-traveling hitman (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who has to hunt down his future self (Bruce Willis). I am so excited for this film and can't wait to see the actual trailer. I suppose for now, however, this clip will suffice. It is nice to see Gordon-Levitt and Johnson riff a bit about the film so I suppose the concept of the trailer teaser isn't entirely bogus. Take a look at the pre-trailer tease below and let us know what you think. Keep an eye out on Thursday for the actual trailer.
'Looper' hits theaters September 28rd.

Okay, I'll spell it out for you Hollywood. HERE IS HOW IT'S DONE!1 A SMALL press release saying "so and so'' is working on a movie with "whats 'er name" yada yada.
2 A POSTER or two to tease the audience and get them pumped. A GOOD POSTER! Not just someone's head and a title.3. A FULL TWO MINUTE TRAILER! Showing the characters, setting and story without giving too much away.
and that's IT! That's all you have to do! Maybe cut up bits of the poster and trailer to use as other smaller advertisements but that's IT! THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE! This trailer for a trailer for a TRAILER bullshit just annoys the crap out of us. How about instead of having an actor and director sit and talk about how cool their movie is, you just SHOW US A DAMN TRAILER AND LET US JUDGE FOR OURSELVES!!!! Because of COURSE they would say their movie is good! Do you think anyone would let them say "This is the same generic pretentious crap anyone over the age of thirteen has seen a million times. This year." But I digress, SEE THE ABOVE LIST AND STOP WASTING YOUR TIME AND OURS!

Future me has already seen this movie and was sent back to the past to let present me know that this film is awesome! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm about to go back and tell past me to not be riding around with weed on June of 2004 and August of 2006.

Its just the production studios trying to market films in a different way. To hopefully build up more interest by giving us bites instead of a whole trailer. Don't know if it really works - to me its just more damn annoying than anything.
