If it's crap... We'll tell you

I was going through the music portion of my movie collection today and came across some movies that I belive have either been underated or never heard of but deserve their recognition even if it is only by me on this websight. So here they are in no particular order

`#1 Rage Against The Machine Live At the Grand Olympic Auditorium

This Beauty was realeased on December 9th 2003, only two weeks after realeaseing the album. The DVD however has a slightly different track listing than the CD. the one thing that I always rember about this DVD is the bitchin' first track. This band brings power and with the volume pushed to the max you'll feel like your with the other 2000 fans rockin out.The Camera work sucks you in to the whole show hitting you with raw power. With a track list of Bull's on Parade, Calm Like a Bomb, Killin in the Name, Testify, and a duo vocal performance with Cypress Hill this would be a sad live performance miss out on.

#2 Citizen Fish: Gaffer Tape

The Gaffer Tape is probably one of the greatest unheard of punk music movies ever. And yet you can find it for $6. Anyways This Tour Documentry was put together by the Bath, England band's bassist Jasper. Citizen Fish is a punk/ska/reggae band that's been rockin since 1990. Although this video is short only 48 minutes long, the live performances, as well as the interveiws with the band make it worthwile. Includeing great Songs such as Sink or Swim, Active Ingredients, and Social Insecurtiy, simply put this movie rocks.

#3 Punk-O-Rama Vol.I

This is a great Various Artist movie with an amazing combination of videos, shows, intervewis, and more. Featureing all the top bands from Epitaph reacords includeing Bad Religion, Offspring, Pennywise, Millencolin, Guttermouth and more this movie holds 22 simply amazing raw energy charged music videos. It also sports the previously unrealeased Rancid music video for the song "GGF". Their is also the intersting interveiws with band members Brett Gurewitz, Fat Mike, Fletcher, and others. The Jem's of this movie really though are the live recordings of Bad Religion in '92, Live Bouncing Souls, and the makeing of the Pennywise song "Fuck Authority". I highly recommend this movie if your looking for fully packed punk overload.

#4 Propagandhi: Live From Occupied Territory: An Official Bootleg

Realeased in '07 This is a prize jem of Live punk recordings. Propoghandi decided to play a bennafit concert for Grassy Narrows First Nation Blockade and the International Solidarity Movement at the Zoo a venue in Winnepeg, Canada in '03. The set is spectacular featureing songs from all the band's full lenghth albums, it also cathes them performing live rare cover songs, and it featured some early versions of some songs from the abum Potemkin City Limits which was released two years after this movie was filmed. The show was actually filmed by audience members and later mixed by the band. Simply put a really great unique movie that shows you how this band can really shine despite not being that well known.

#5 The Adicts: Joker in the Pack

This is the first dvd to ever feature the Addicts, known as being one of the most entertaining and lively punk bands to ever live. Packed with some of the most unbeleivable footage of the band that you could ever imagine or hope to find, this movie will help you to see the band in an entirely new light. The Movie starts off with the orignial promo clips for the some of the bands most popular tracks "Joker in The Pack" and "Viva La Revolution". It also features the band's live performance at the Manhattan Club during their Summer of '83 tour, the same time that their single "Bad Boy" broke onto natinal charts. The part of the movie entitled "Up Yer Tower" shows the live recording of the bands set from the legendary punk festival at the famous Ballroom Tower in 1982. Shortly put this is a masterpeice of a live performance movie bringing everything you could hope to have from the Adicts.

#6 Bad Brains: Live at CBGB's 1982

This captured performance of the Bad Brains will show anyone why they were and still are One of the most influential and important bands of American Hardcore. The legendary CBGB allowed the Bad Brains to play a three day stint at the venue begging on Chrismas Eve 1982. This DVD is a combination of all the greatest moments of those three shows being edited out of a total of four hours of footage. With live performance peices by the Bad Brains hard to come by this movie is the perfect to show any fan or just curious on looker why the Bad Brain's performances became so legendary.

#7 Butthole Surfers: Blind Eyes See All: Live in Detroit 1985

One of the most unique and bizzar bands to ever emerege from the American Underground, this band from Texas combined the elements of shock-rock, hardcore, and psychedelia. Probably most known for their hit single "Pepper" this band was infamouse for their wacky sound and lyrics, as well for the amount of LSD they could consume. This movie is a very interesting live performance recorded during the band's prime. I highly recommend this movie for two main reasons. One, You will gain a love for the bands music as well as the wacky members. Two Considering this band is from Texas and they were able to draw such an extensive and energetic croud in Detroit really speeks to their musical capabilities.

First of all. Let me admit that I am an absolute Simpsons N00b. Everybody has one of those things they should have seen but never got around to watching it. For me one of those is the Simpsons. I still enjoy he hell out of South Park, Family Guy...
