Let's Do This! - June 28, 2009 PT. 2
As promised here's the second half of our two part 'Let's Do This!'. In cased you missed the first half it's posted down below, along with more art from our members. This half includes more celebrity death talk, the difference between Billy Mayes and Vince Offer, Mudflap and Skids, a really funny segment about a fried chicken video, and email.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled 'A Couple of Cold Ones' to bring you a very special 'Let's Do This!'.
That's right. So much happened this month that this week's recording went on for a hefty 3 1/2 hours long - lenghty enough to split the show up into two parts. So what could we possibly have talked about for almost four hours? Well, let's see... there's the heat here in Texas, old people who die form the heat, we address the whole racial issue surrounding the Transformers characters Mudflap and Skids, another sad fried chicken video ('Fry that chciken, fry that chicken!'), we cover the recent celebrity deaths of Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, David Carradine, and Billy Mays, and we do much reminiscing about the King of Pop. Just what will be covered in this first half of the show? You'll have to listen and find out. Look for part two this upcoming Wednesday.

- before everyone gangs up on me i am not defending this piece of shit of a movie. i merely saying it is hypocritical for someone to say that michael bay is stereotyping when spill do it regularly in their podcasts. i understand that transformers was planned out while spill is off-the-cuff but the its not like its a one off thing, they do it regularly. whether it be the stereotypical british accents or the gangsta accents or sometimes the mexican accent (as i recall in one podcast). ok korey i dont think i said you were a racist. what i did say is that it was possible to be racist towards your own race. and you arent being racist. but making jokes about what will happen to black people when watermelon runs out etc... doesnt help. even look at the tyrone example, what need was there to say gangsta was spray-painting a car other than to get a cheap laugh. these comments although not racist dont help.

No point in getting in that discusion Korey, what bonfire seem to be missing is the concept of a "cheap joke", when someone is just trying to do something offensive just because they think is funny to them even though they know it is offensive. Also Transformers is a movie project is not a casual conversation, it takes months of planning, and reviewing, this is a deliberate thing, imagine all the time you have to spend making this characters, this is no flub, to which all of us are entitled to because we are only human. This is something that as people were developing it someone should have said (The director of course, but wait a second who is the director of that movie?) this is not right; when you do a movie that is going to be seen by millions you have to think of the content. But Korey again I certainly advice you not to get in that discusion if he hasn't got it by now, chances are he won't get it period.

Also how come its ok for black guys to call each other that one word, but not white guys? Seriously though it amazes me the lengths people will go to defend a terrible movie, its just sad.
