If it's crap... We'll tell you

I'll put up art later, but right now I'm sitting in a hotel parking lot in Waco at 4 am in the morning so I could upload this show. Why? Because I'm visiting my mom and I can't get internet at her house. I actually had to wait for her to fall asleep to sneak out. When I told her I was thinking of going to Denny's to get cheesecake and use their internet she went nuts. "You know how dangerous Denny's in Waco is this time of night?! Someone will kill you and take your computer!! And eat your cheesecake off your dead body while looking at porn!!!"

Okay, that last part I made up, but the rest is true. I even tried to sneak out when all the lights were out and I thought my mom was asleep. From the darkness I heard her say "Where are you going?" She knew I would try and sneak out, which I eventually did.

Anyway, this week we have stinky hippies and their hot girlfriends, a very bitter discussion about women and what they see as 'friends', Megan Fox and her newfound single status, a defense for Eddie Murphey, Megashark vs Giant Octopus, and, of course, email.

Oh! We also poke fun of Leon and his disease. A lot. Sorry Leon. We just couldn't stop ourselves once we got started.

- Korey

I know this is a little late, but check out this piece from feal. Incredible! I'll make up for the lateness by leaving it up next week.

And finally about the Star Wars - Harry Potter thing, I get what Korey was trying to say like Harry Potter is the Star Wars of this generation, but as he himself said you can't replicate different times and different experiences. What makes Star Wars so superior as far as movies goes is that since movies are all about the experience and the moments you can have in the theater or wherever you watch them, Star Wars has moments that became imprinted in the collective consciousness no matter you were a hardcore fan or just a casual fan like me, while Harry Potter has pretty much none of those moments, you can talk to another person about some scene in HP but the person that would respond or that would recognize the scene is probably a fan, and at the end you can't compare any of those scenes to a: Luke, I'm you father, or the two big fights with light sabers, or the blow up of the Death Star or Han Solo getting frozen in carbonite (or whatever its name is), you can talk with pretty much anybody about those scenes and they had an impact on the people that saw it whether they were fans or not. That's why you can never have another Beatles, you can have as many fans or be as popular but you can't replicate the impact and the moments they had.

One time I the first Chronicles of narnia movie for the first and this guy was sitting right next to me and telling the whole movie to his girl friend because he read the book. And it was because of his girlfriend I didn't tell him to shut the fuck up.

I remember one time when I was sitting in a theater and someone ruined the ending of "Secret Window". It happens all the time.

The one thing the movie world isn't ready for is the fat guy getting the girl at the end of the movie.
