Sweetness, glad to hear well, as a bonus on the collector's edition, the USB Dog tag will have a DRM free version of the game install, atleast the kickstarter backers dog tags will, so I would imagine these would also.  I understand the desire for something to have in your hands, but I think you will be safe here.

@Wodenson
Thanks, just pre-ordered it! I would kinda prefer to have a physical copy. Mostly because, ever since the whole thing with a few games on Xbox live being digital, and no longer play able, has me nervous about digital only games. One day no longer being available, whether you bought them, and downloaded them.

Thanks for the info, and the link. I bought the collectors edition btw. lol

I backed the kickstarter at $175.  They just said this morning, every dollar they get from preorders and kickstarter will go into making the game and assets, so your preorder will help.

@Wodenson

I really wanted to be a part of the Kickstarter, but I didn't hear about it til after! lol But I'll buy just the same the day it comes out so I can check it out.
Hell, I'd love to see it become popular enough, and with enough requests, that it gets ported to the consoles, so other gamers and fans can play it.
But that may not happen, at least not on the 360 anyway.

Ok, digital only unless you were a kickstarter backer at a high enough level.  They are still hoping for it to hit first half of this year, which means by the end of June, but that is honestly the earliest it will hit, end of June.  Late July or Mid August is more likely.

The game comes with a main storyline that has some side jobs and side stories, but not the same sandbox the Genesis game gave us.  There will not be Mr. Johnsons with endless auto random shadowruns to go on.  It will be based in Seattle and that will be it at the start.  Berlin is coming as DLC with Holiday Season 2013 as the hopeful date currently.  The game on PC and Mac will have an editor that will allow game masters to create their own stories and runs for others to play.  It will be able to use every game asset in the game, so at first just more Seattle area stuff, but when Berlin is released, that data also gets added to the editor.  Most kickstarter backers get the Berlin DLC for free.  They are hoping to be able to add other cities later depending on demand and money.

Did you back it or already have it preordered?  They still have some discounts going on before release.

@Wodenson
Do you know exactly when the game comes out? Will it be digital only, or digital and physical?

Cool, cool, no problem.  Anything else you wanna ask, I will do my best to answer it.

@Wodenson
That is fucking AWESOME! Thanks!

Yeah, I've bought the Sega version twice too. The first time I bought, it had the box too! Wish I still had it, but I re-ordered just the box art for both games, I'm such a nerd.

But that is great to hear, thanks for the info.

About the new games, Shadowrun Returns, I can answer a good chunk of your questions if you want to ask them here.

You mentioned character creation.  You will be able to pick a race, Human, Orc, Elf, Dwarf, Troll, and a starting profession, Physical Adept, Rigger, Shaman, Mage, Decker, Street Samurai.  You will be able to pick either gender for every race as well as customize the look of your character.  Once in game, you can of course progress in any way, your mage could get a data jack and learn to be a Decker, but it will cost Essence and you will not be able to cast the highest and hardest level spells in the game, etc.

@Jordan  Yeah, that Tar Pit ICE program always pissed me off.  Sandbox, yep, nailed it, it was my first experience playing a sandbox game where it gave me a living world to interact with, running side jobs for different Mr. Johnsons.  I have bought the Genesis version 3 different times, twice brand new from EB games, once used.
