It's funny how both Marvel and DC are doing the old-time pulp feel to thinks. Marvel's got Noir, DC has First Wave. It's nice to see some old ideas never die and some old characters are still remembered.

As a Punisher fan I can only say - "What the Fuck???" Thank God for the Noir and Max runs, I get that Castle really doesn't have a place in the mainstream Marvel Universe, but Frankencastle? Really???

I'm anxious to see how Punisher Nor ends. Then we're onto the next back with the sequels to Spider-Man Noir and X-Men Noir.
Let's hope they keep up with this.

The Cage Noir ending was so fucking cool. The stuff of legends. Every comic book fan deserves to collect this book if you like mobster films meets super heroes.

I will say there are some really good Marvel events that I enjoyed upon reading in trade.
Planet Hulk was definitely not something I was expecting to be good. It was! I can only imagine how risky that decision must have been to tell that story. And to have Skaar spin out of it, too.
I enjoyed the Illuminati mini-series. I wished they would have done more with that story but both Civil War and Secret Invasion kind of prevented that from happening.
I know I keep harping on it, but I'm really enjoying the Marvel Noir line. So far Spider-Man, Punisher and Luke Cage have been the most outstanding of the bunch, but even the so-called "bad" ones are excellent mini's
