The League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen, Volume 3 Issue 9: Horror Film

I guess the original intent was to bring more TV into this as well, but as it turned out, we ended up with two and a half hours of blood drenched movie madness with most of the crew...and CO-HOST!!! Check it...

High Tension was a good movie. If you're wondering it was the father who got killed by the dresser. The ending didn't really bother me too mush it was actually an awesome twist. It kept me on edge the entire time. I wasn't actually scared of Bram Strokers Dracula mostly because I'm not into romance like that and Dracula's hair doo was just funny to me.

Wait. How does Resurrection shit make Rob Zombie's shit any less shit. It's still shit.

Thank you, Jason, for defending Rob Zombie's Halloween! You have balls, sir, and I thank you for giving the minority a voice. I don't see how people can complain about them when they got away with such bullshit with Resurrection.

I'd also add that the "emo vampire" schtick is at least a century or more old. Anne Rice and the Twilight books didn't invent it. They just recycled it.

Blame penny dreadfuls like Varney the Vampire.

Beau and Kayne West. An interrupting battle for the ages.

this is the 4th time listening, I can't say what is the greatest horror movie was. But nothing impacted society like JAWS and the EXORCIST, I'm old LOL! I was there, No one went to the beach that summer. and people passed out and through up in the theater. No movie since had that kind of reaction...

Fungusmonkey: Thank you, I totally stand corrected. Teen Wolf Too does trump Teen Wolf. Plus it stars Jason Bateman's dad, who shall forever be known as Jason Bateman's dad.

Allison and Sinshenlong: Would you both recommend the Jim Butcher Dresden Files books? I was honestly about 10 seconds from buying Storm Front a few days ago, but finally decided to go with something that was compared to Neil Gaiman's works. I'm always looking for good sc-fi novel suggestion.

Don't think you guys mentioned the vampire/zombie-ish movie Lifeforce. How can you go wrong with hot naked space vampires?

As far as the Halloween series, there was one that brought up some cult thing that apparently Myers was a part of which to me explained how he was able to withstand everything that happened to him. To bad they never mentioned it after that.

Scarecrow: Really? All caps? Bold? Really?

We already mentioned Rocky Horror on another show in which we were discussing cult films, a more appropriate place to talk about it.

And I've already stated this several times: People, when the LEOG answers questions it's usually what is OUR favorite movie within said genre. Would you prefer that we just spend 2 hours doing nothing but listing movies that might possibly fit into this genre. No. The appropriate response in the comments sections is "Hey Leog, I really like the Rocky Horror Picture Show!". Try and keep trollish behavior to a minimum, thanks.
