With the new Kindle 2 coming out, I'm thinking that trades/comics/graphic novels, will all be electronic screens within 10-15 years and those with actual, physical paper collections will all be worth money to true comic book collectors, no matter how lousy the story is. Also, with rumors that the
San Francisco Chronicle newspaper may be going out of business soon, the paper medium seems to be fading, just like digital movies making an impact over film celluloid.

As someone who's kinda getting back into comics, after almost 15 years of not really reading, what do you guys think of electronic comics, e-comics, motion comics, Comic Book Reader/Comic View/Comix or other electronic downloading of comic books/graphic novels?
I read The Killing Joke, Batman Hush episode 1-3, parts of Watchmen and a few free Image/Dark Horse books online, but I sorta like having the actual comic book/graphic novel in my hands. Sometimes reading and enjoying the artwork on a computer screen for hours can be a bit much on my eyes.

I'm not even talking
downloading comics, more of the format for viewing. Of course, the price needs to go down significantly (from $359 price tag) , before the masses start going for this latest tech upgrade. Plus, alot of people find the comics online for free. Other similar devices such as the iphone have book readers too, but to my knowledge, the Kindle 2 makes the claim to be the closest electronic device to impersonate a real book with lower glare, namely due to its
Etch-a-Sketch- like ink technology.
I know, my little 5 year old nieces and nephews, probably will grow up with similar devices, at lowered costs, by the time they grow up and go to college.
