Running away
Ice Age 3: Rise of the Dinosaurs
From Fox, and Blue Sky Studios
Before Trailer: I never seen the first one, but I did see the 2nd one, its an alright family film. I suppose its has a weak story, but I did like some of the visuals and few of jokes, one of them that always confuse me, was when Scrap went to heaven, (Was Christanity even invented then?). Blue Sky is an ok studio, but they really need to branch out more, the 2nd one was just ok. I saw the 3-D teaser in Coraline with Scrat and his new love interest, I thought that was pretty funny, and the 3-D was cool.
After Trailer: The jokes and story still look pretty consistent with the last movie, just ok and a bit weak. Visuals are still nice. The last 30 seconds made me laugh the hardest, Scrat and his girlfriend might be what new twist this franchise needs, I like how that love and backstab and trick each other here and the last teaser. Also I thought Diego last gag in the trailer was preety funny. It will entertain its audience with its 3-D, but who knows about this. Casting is solid as the last one. At this points its mixed.

Estimate Boxoffice: 150$ Million
Astro Boy
From Summit Pictures, and Imagi Studios
Before Trailer: I got to tell you, I'm not the biggest Anime fan, I used to but I love comics (Superman pwns Goku anyday) From the last very small teaser, I could tell the animation and visuals are good. Astro is consider to be one of the foundation of anime, but looking at the Black/White limited animated show from Adult Swim, I can see why. The cast could be good, Freddie Highmore is the next Haley Joel Osmet (lets hope for his sake that his career might expand in the future, and not crash burn) Nicholas Cage is an interesting choice, I like him, but with his recent picks, I got be cautious if this film will be any good. But thank god its Animated and not Live Action, because anime in real life looks ridiculous, (See DBZ Evolution, Speed Racer, and any Anime convention). This is made from the creators of TMNT, a moderate hit, got decent reviews from the Spill Crew (Which oddly enough is my first Spill review I ever saw.
After Trailer: The visuals and animation is still very good, It looks more faithful to Osama Tezuka work, then any of the other Anime Hollywood translation. Thankfully Freddie is not being that much o an annoying hyperactive anime character, Nick Cage sound pretty decent (He still got wierd hairdo). 1:04 can you see the Cameo. It looks like solid mantinee entertainment at this point.
