One little, two little, three little cast announcements. David Ayer's 'Ten,' loosely based on Agatha Christie's mystery novel 'Ten Little Indians' is putting together quite the impressive roster. The film, centering on a DEA strike team taking on a cartel, is set to star Arnold Schwarzenegger. Over the summer, the likes of Sam Worthington and 'The Killing's Mireille Enos were added to the production. Now it seems Josh Holloway is in negotiations to climb aboard as well. Holloway is best known as the conniving, but inescapably goodhearted Sawyer on J.J. Abrams' 'Lost.' Holloway also appeared in last year's 'Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol.' According to reports, Holloway's character would be Neck, the medic in Schwarzenegger's task force. The film is also set to star Terrence Howard and Malin Ackerman. The deal has not been finalized.
The more casting news that leaks about 'Ten,' the more it intrigues me. From an exploitation standpoint, I dig the idea of doing a balls-out action version of an Agatha Christie mystery story; something so delightfully absurd about that. And if indeed you're going to adhere to a concept that silly, why not cast Arnie in the lead? Josh Holloway is a crucial piece of casting here as he is an actor who has not only proven he can hold his own in action cinema, but also boasts a tremendous amount of personality that should counteract Sam Worthington's...less developed personality. I'm really hoping this is as high-octane as it seems to be promising. I'd like to see Sawyer kick ass and take names. You know, more so than he did with a paintball gun in that 'Community' episode.
What do you guys think? Is Holloway a good addition to this cast? Are you interested in 'Ten?'

Comment by randy on August 29, 2012 at 12:41pm Holloway could be an A lister if he got the right movie roles, he was sadly underused in MI4, but I hope he can start getting more big roles.

Comment by The GodDamn Fatman on August 28, 2012 at 8:41pm I still think he would have made a great Rick for the Walking Dead TV show, but either way I'm glad to see him doing something.
