Jon Favreau Latest Member of 'The Wolf of Wall Street' Pack

It's hard not to get excited when a new Martin Scorsese film is in the works. The man is a true living legend and his films are always, if not fantastic, at least worth exploring. For a short time now, far shorter than I'd like to admit considering it's freaking Scorsese, I've been following 'The Wolf of Wall Street.' The film, based on the memoirs of Jordan Belfort, centers on a shady stockbroker whose underhanded practices land him in jail for 20 years. Knowing Scorsese's talent for wide-spanning storytelling, my guess is that the tale will not at all end with his incarceration. To date, the film boasts a cast that includes Jean Dujardin ('The Artist'), Leonardo DiCaprio (Scorsese's current go-to guy), Jonah Hill, and Kyle Chandler ('Super 8'). Now it appears as if we can also add Jon Favreau's name to that rather impressive roster. Favreau will reportedly be playing a securities lawyer. 'The Wolf of Wall Street' is aiming for a release sometime in 2013.

With every piece of news that breaks on this movie, I become more and more interested to see it. I did finally see 'The Artist' in its entirety and fell head-over-heels in love with it. I'm therefore excited to see how Jean Dujardin is used in the film. And after seeing 'Moneyball,' I'm confident Jonah Hill has the acting chops to work outside of juvenile slapstick comedy. Leo is consistently great and I like Kyle Chandler quite a bit. Now we've added Favs? The guy may not be the world's most accomplished actor, and point of fact I like him better as a director, but he has a natural affability in his performances that people tend to latch on to. However, he can also pull off the fast-talking wiseass with ease. Heck, we've already seen him play a lawyer in, and I shudder to bring this movie up, 2003's 'Daredevil.' I have no doubt he'll make a solid addition to this cast.

What do you guys think? Are you happy that Favreau is aboard? Interested in 'The Wolf of Wall Street?'

I just hope Jonah Hill can step it up. He was 'ok' in Moneyball, but this is Scorsese... bring your A game hammy !

Another New Yorker in the mix, I like it!

Never cared for Favreau as a director, even less as an actor. What he does is hardly news worthy.

Looks like Cyrus' driver with a dye-job.

He actually works really well as kind of sleazy but likeable business types.
