James Cameron Gets Harrassed by "Fan"
TMZ posted a video of James Cameron getting into a heated argument with a fan. The thing is - this guy was no fan and James knew it.

Pretty brutal, huh? After I watched the video for the first time, I thought, "Man. James Cameron needs to respect the fans a little more.".... And then I watched it again.
First off - the "fan" in this video isn't actually a fan. He collects autographs on merchandise and sells them for thousands of dollars on eBay. In fact, it was reported that he put up that Avatar poster on eBay for $2,000 when he found out where James Cameron would be. That's why he gets so pissed and starts harassing James for an autograph - because that one autograph will support him for a whole month.
Autograph collectors are like paparazzi. They pay for tips on where a celebrity might be so they can go get an autograph from them and then sell it. That should have been your first clue. A fan somehow knew exactly when and where James Cameron would be (evidenced by having that Avatar poster).
James Cameron recognized this and politely shook his head the first time the guy asked for his signature. TMZ, as always, cuts out a lot of footage to make Jim look like an asshole, but what is definite is that his guy kept harassing him and wouldn't take no for an answer. That's why James became an asshole. Because some guy claiming to be a fan was harassing him for the sake of making a buck off his celebrity.
Think for two seconds people before you judge. Especially when watching a fucking TMZ video clip.

first off, anyone who BELIEVES shit like TMZ should be temporarily removed from society. second, autographs are supposed to be collected for prideful purposes, that you were able to gain something from someone you truly admire (if the lakers come to the bobcats arena, ill try to get jack nicholson's autograph, since he's their biggest fan), not to pay your fuckin car insurance. and finally, dont spend your time harassing celebrities for meaningless shit, do more important things like visiting some friends, spending time with your family, or getting laid.

This guy is harassing another person, he deliberatly waited outside poster in hand to cause a scene or get what he wanted which is wrong. James Cameron shakes his head no early on and the guy then starts to make a fool out of himself and further harass the man who should have done more then cuss him out.
I think JC has mellowed over the years as the JC I know would have gotten in his face with the "get the **** away from me" or just knock him out for this BS.

first off james cameron could not have known that guy wasn't a true fan from the moment he saw him and turned him down or mabey he saw whoever had the camera cameron has been repeatedly been reported to be an asshole but if i was a famous director i would at least acknowledge a fan or shake his hand if i didn't have time to autograph, and the guy i right avatars script blows

I like how at the end he goes "your movie has no plot" and not even two seconds later says "the plot is so simple a three-year-old could follow it." Nice.
