Man talk about a movie that lives up to its name. I'm back and I’m talking about the movie Kick-Ass(Duh), witch I’m going to flat out say right now is not only my favorite movie of the year(so far), its my favorite movie Period and the movie that held that title before was The Dark Knight, so that means I love this film to no end. I saw it Friday and I can not get my mind off of this movie, and I cannot wait to see it again.

The film is based on the Graphic Novel of the same name, witch follows a boy named Dave Lizewski, who wonders "How come no ones ever tried to become a superhero", so he puts on a suit, and becomes Kick-Ass witch he is soon followed by real time vigilantes Big Daddy and his Daughter Hit-Girl, and hatch a plot to take down Mob boss Frank D'Amico. Now surprising I never felt that the story was over shadowed by the Characters, action, or jokes. In fact all of these things help move the story along at a really good pacing. Not once during this movie was I ever bored. There is always something entertaining going on screen.

Now one complaint I keep hearing is at one point in the film the Character Kick-Ass takes a backseat to both Big Daddy and Hit-Girl, and while you do end up liking them both more, a lot of the reviews make it seem like Kick-Ass had basically disappeared from the film. This is something I have to disagree on; I thought every character on this film seemed to be fleshed out as much as they needed to be, and you do like every character, Besides Red-Mist I was disappointed with him. And another complaint I hear is that the main villain is stereotypical, and yeah he kind of is, and if this would have been any other movie it would have been a problem, but in a goofy movie like this its not, and I love Mark Strong in this role, and you can tell he was having a lot of fun. Something some of you might hate me for, is that I actually liked Big Daddy more then I liked Hit-Girl. I'm sorry but Nicolas Cage was a badass in this film, more of a badass then Hit-Girl, and it's all because of one little warehouse scene.

So overall, I love this movie with all my heart, I have never had so much fun in the theater. The movie is pure orgasmic, and does things you've never seen done in a film. This is the first time I’ve screamed "FUCK YEAH" in the movie theater. I have no real complaints for the movie, its has laugh out loud jokes, awesome action scenes, and when the film gets dramatic it made my eyes water. Combine all that and you get a movie experience that truly does Kick-Ass. So I would be lying if I gave this movie anything less then a - BETTER THEN SEX!
Thanks for reading
