This weekend the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D was number at the box office - and it's no secret a couple of us here on Spill didn't take to kindly to this sequel. There's no denying, however, the power of the original and it's lasting appeal. That's why it was an honor to interview with the man who created the slasher genre as we know it today. Korey sits down to talk to the director about his films beyond Texas Chainsaw Massacre, his reception to criticism, rumors surrounding his career, and the controversy over his new film.

Not a bad for a person who loves to film people being slaughtered by homicidal maniacs.

Psycho will always be the original slasher film to me. But much respect to TCM

Many thanks for this seriously. I've never seen or heard this guy in interviews or photos before. But I've been a big fan of his since I watched Texas Chainsaw many many years ago. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the 3rd best horror movie of all time.

Ridley Scott mentioned that Texas Chainsaw Massacre greatly influenced him when making Alien.

Did you guys know that Tobe Hooper was going to direct a Spider-Man movie as a monster movie where a scientist turned Peter Parker into a literal eight-armed creature that battles other mutants that were created by the same scientist by quit after he heard how angry Stan Lee was at that horrible first draft that was written by Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus ?

Haha, I watched Texas Chainsaw for the first time last night, and was blown away. Good timing on an interview Korey.

Never seen or even heard Tobe Hooper been interviewed in my life. And The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is my 3rd favourite horror movie of all time. The Shining and The Exorcist are my no.1 and no.2.
