If it's crap ... We'll tell you

Dr. Rufus posted a statusAround the Spillverse, we've talked a lot about last year's 'V/H/S.' It was a horror film that combined two separate subgenres, anthology and found footage, into something quite unique. It also featured a collaboration of some of the best up-and-coming talent in horror. The upcoming sequel, 'S-VHS' looks to be an augmentation of what we got the first time around. Bringing together the likes of Jason Eisner ('Hobo with a Shotgun'), Gareth Evans ('The Raid: Redemption'), and Eduardo Sanchez ('The Blair Witch Project'), 'S-VHS' has just seen the release of its first trailer. It's incredibly intense and hints at everything from zombies to alien abduction. I can't freaking wait to see this. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.
'S-VHS' premieres this week at Sundance with a wide release soon to follow

Comment by Lunatik on January 16, 2013 at 6:38pm My family's VHS tapes were never this interesting.
My opinion might be very different if I'd seen VHS's uniqueness, but without it, the trailer looks like just another found footage movie to me -- a subgenre I am well sick of. I'll have to check out VHS.
Comment by Troy West on January 16, 2013 at 5:30pm I don't really find disorientation intense, and this trailer feels like a blender mash of disorienting action clips. There wasn't anything that really grabbed me. Still, I'm a big fan of horror anthologies, so I'll probably give this one a chance. I quite enjoyed the original V/H/S. It had a fine spirit. :)
Comment by Richard Evans on January 16, 2013 at 4:54pm My favoite of the first one was the demon chick, That was sick, and the one with the kids in the woods, and the girl trying to record the killer but it won't show.. I thought it was creative.
Comment by Babalu Jack on January 16, 2013 at 4:33pm Wasn't a fan of the first one, nothing here is getting be excited aside from the directors.
Comment by The Gaming King on January 16, 2013 at 4:20pm Either I'm crazy, or that little girl's scream is the exact same one in this sketch.
Comment by MahMahAfro on January 16, 2013 at 4:13pm Yes, very intense. Was it ment to be funny though?

Comment by Austin on January 16, 2013 at 3:59pm just saw the first one last week. was drunk and half asleep when I came too during the "I like you" bit...needless to say I was creeped out horribly. watched the whole this next night. Thieves was dumb, I like you was amazing, roadtrip was creepy but not crazy on the twist, woods was horrible and the acting was shiiiit, skype was pretty good, haunted halloween house was great. Anyone else notice 3/5 stories a girl was the villian? just saying.
Comment by VdGCSF on January 16, 2013 at 3:59pm why is it that horror movies nowadays make home videos to be the scariest things?
