BigRedNY posted a blog postLike monsters? Like animated films about monsters? Count yourself one of the few remaining fans of Adam Sandler? Then you'll probably enjoy the official trailer for 'Hotel Transylvania.' The movie, directed by animation guru Genndy Tartakovsky, supposes a world in which Count Dracula (voiced by Sandler) runs a swanky private hotel for monsters who, according to the trailer, wish to "rest in peace." A wrench is thrown into the works when a young boy discovers the hotel and falls for Drac's daughter. Also featuring the voice talents of Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, Selena Gomez, David Spade, and Andy Samberg, the film really looks...suspect. I don't want to hate on it before I've seen it, Thor knows trailers have lied before, but I have a feeling that, if nothing else, Sandler's flat, stale Dracula accent will grate upon my nerves ten minutes in. Take a look at the trailer below and tell us what you think.

Comment by Boatloads1017 on March 30, 2012 at 9:37am @My Name Get over it, dude. You're not gonna change over a century of the monster being known as Frankenstein. It's how people know him. Besides, the film and the book are two completely separate entities at this point. The monster in film is in no way related to the original creation in Mary Shelley's novel. There's no sense in trying to relate the two anymore.

Frankenstein and his monster deserve better than the ignorance that they are so commonly treated with.

Comment by Lucia Dodaro on March 29, 2012 at 4:23pm I think it looks cute :) When it comes to a voice cast I don't usualy care who the actors are as long as they do a good job.

Frankenstein's Monster has been called Frankenstein for YEARS now. Besides, he is sort of the son of his creator Victor Frankenstein. Therefore, he would sort of inherent his creator's name. Plus Frankenstein is a much cooler name than just "the monster".
Comment by My Name on March 29, 2012 at 11:35am Frankenstein isn't a monster.
He's a scientist.
