Hitman 2 Silent Assassin is the only other Hitman game that I have played besides the newest one. This game is much slower paced then the newest one and a whole hell of a lot harder. This game has no regenerating health so if you die you have to restart from your last save. The games story is simple; agent 47 is living in peace as a gardener at a church. Some mobsters take the Preacher to get to 47, and it is up to agent 47 to hunt them down by going back to the Agency. The story goes from you hunting mobsters to Russian soldiers to terrorist. It all loops back around on itself and, you have some kind of a lame twist. The story isn’t the strongest point in this game. I do love the games soundtrack it is just amazing; I’d love to have a CD of the music in this game. The gameplay is what is truly what makes this game fun; you have a Hitman vs. ninjas how can you get better than that? This game is so open in how to play it you can be all sneaky and poison your target. Or if you play how I play I just got a nice weapon and killed everyone yes everyone in sight. Granted that’s not how the game is meant to be played but walking like a badass killing everyone you see is just the best. The game is between 8 to 12 hours long depending how you play if you play sneaky it’ll take much longer. The replay value is trying to get Silent Assassin rank on each level. For me that’s not enough to go back and keep playing a game but for some people it is. Overall the game is fun it has its problems, like how 47 can’t run or how the AI is dumb as hell. I give this a C.
