After much hype surrounding Heath Ledger's final 'completed' performance in the Dark Knight the movie was finally released with strong reviews, a great box office return and an iconic villian. The villian was Heath Ledger as the Joker who recieved rave reviews even by the critics that did not like the movie. When Oscar season came Warner Bros. pushed a major campaign for the Dark Knight and specifically Heath Ledger. And now Heath Ledger has won a posthumous Golden Globe for his performance. The crowd stood up to applaud as his name was announced. Director Christopher Nolan accepted the award on his behalf saying that 'he would be eternally missed.'
The award was followed with a brief scene from the movie. The scene was the famous interrogation scene. Many of the audience laughed at his comical and frightening brilliance.
He deserved it, alive or not. Amazing and terrifying performance. R.I.P. Heath, thanks for bringing my favorite child-hood villain to life =]

You have to wonder what was going through Robert Downey Jr. head during that. He looked on the verge of tears. I wonder if it was a "there but for the grace of God" moment for him.
