Co-Host is the voice of reason in this anti-Star Wars madness.

@Noah the Viking

Shut the fuck up. Reading the books is not a requirement to review these movies. They should be able to stand alone without the supplementary aid of the novels. Co-Host has a valuable (not to mention entertaining) perspective on these movies, unique among the Spill crew. In fact, I'd be pretty damn disappointed if he wasn't in the review.

Just a small comment to Cassie, I'm not sure you can say Yates took out all the character development etc.  I think that would have been Steven Kloves' job as scriptwriter.  Not sure he was the right person for this franchise, Goldenberg did a great job with Order of the Phoenix - despite needing to take out huge chunks, he managed to make it flow well.

Yates is a competent director - not my favourite of the bunch, but he's okay.

@Sgt. Sharki you can. there are some pretty competitive government grants (in the US at least) that'll pay you a stipend to support you while you write for a year. Like I said, they're competitive though...so most people that apply don't get one. Less likely to make other people hate you than voluntarily going on welfare to give yourself free time, though.

@corey vire

Lol, there have been a couple times when Ron has abandoned Harry when he has truly needed him, not really a reliable friend. He did it in Goblet of Fire and Deathly Hallows. Hermione is the friend that is always there for Harry. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Ron but he can be a D-Bag sometimes.

True Ron is no Han Solo but he is there when harry needs him. That makes him the reliable friend. Truthfully he

s like scooby and shaggy all rolled into on guy. I always seem to hear him saying,'' Zoinks!" in my head.

JK Rowling's rags-to-riches story has been grossly exaggerated.

Yes, she was a single mother. Yes, she was living on government assistants. But she chose to live on welfare in order to have time to write. She was never on the street or living out of a dumpster. I wish I could get money from the government to sit at home and write all day.

Also, the books were unreadable after Goblet of Fire and the movies, while well made, have never really captured me. Still, I probably will go to see this one when it hits the local second run theater near me.
