Dammit. Now I feel bad. Don't worry about it. Sometimes I can't help but take all the 'YOU SUCK!' comments a bit personally and get a little bitchy about what I perceive is actual criticism as opposed to light hearted ribbing. If only the internet would listen to my plan to color-code all text communication so that you could make your tone known! I swear, when I'm King of all Reality™ it'll be my first order of business... after all the bowing down before me.

I apologise, I perhaps should have been a little clearer as to what I meant by your incompetency. I am one of those Halo fans whom has played the series from its origin and I was merely stating how painful it was at times watching you play the campaign. It is as Jason stated in the video "We're seriously pissing someone off right now." and was only meant in jest. I completely understand you are new to the series and aside from a few wincing moments (e.g. when you constantly passed a weapons crate whilst looking for ammunition and also when you continually cancelled the countdown to start the second Spartan Ops chapter (mission) on episode one thinking it was locked), I thoroughly enjoyed the discussion surrounding the gameplay. Jason and yourself have provided much entertainment with your videos and podcasts, I don't need to tell you that you're both doing a great job. This was a simple misinterpertation of a comment made by a fanatic Halo fan, as I'm sure you'll understand, feeling a similar passion for the Metal Gear Solid series.

Even though I'm not a huge Halo fan, I will giv it this: It's a hell of a lot better then Call of Duty, although that isn't exactly a high bar to pass. For Halo, the story is not an afterthought, it cares about it's universe and although it isn't exactly the most interesting world, its got a lot of aspects that keep it enjoyable enough to keep you playing. There is something to be said for a game that offers both a good but not great campaign and solid multyplayer. I just have no interest in this perticular series. It basically comes down to the fact that, there are things I like more then Halo and would rather spend more time with them then play Halo. That is the same reason why I want nothing to do with MMO's. I know they are good, I just don't want to get sucked into them.

Before writing that last comment that idea hasn't cross to mind, I'll admit that. But I don't know, I can't shake this feeling that Halo had a major influence and impact on the gaming industry and major game titles. Either its my fangasim for the Halo series, or my plain ignorance about the gaming industry. Either way, I respect your arguments and anyone else's and thank you for and all for commenting about my thought on the Halo series effect on the Gaming industry. I wouldn't go so far as to call you incompetent, but I think the main problem is that you are not yet familiar with how to use the many guns appropriately, and if you just assume that Halo is nothing more than a dumb shooter, then it will play that way. Take for instance the noob combo, an overcharged plasma pistol and a human pistol can kill any elite in two shots, rewarding the player for using the right weapons.

As for the story, It's probably one of the greatest science fiction universes that I have experienced. Maybe that's sad, but I just come from a different generation than you and Jason. As you pointed out, many of these themes and ideas were new to me. Halo was actually the first science fiction universe that really sucked me in to the point that I actually read the novels.
