Better than previous Halo games, but it's still Halo. The new enemies are fine for a while, but they just keep regurgitating them and the new weapons are just old weapons with new skins. The story is better, in that there actually IS a story, but I was never a fan of Halo and there isn't enough here to change that perspective for me. It is worth a Bargain Bin, but not much more than that unless you're a Halo junkie.

The fuck is this about enemy variety?

Halo had the flood and brutes prior.  The new enemies this game were a fine addition and I never got tired since they were all pretty diverse.

A lot of other shooters don't have enemy variation period (Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, CoD, BF, and MoH), It's just one enemy you're shooting over and over.

And the guns aren't diverse? What? Then you must hate the pre-mentioned games to death.

I thought the level design was repetitive, but it is 343's first time out and they did a fine job regardless. I enjoyed the first section of the last level.  The graphical upgrade was phenomenal and the story was actually pretty touching.  I didn't care for Master Chief in Halo 1-3, but I really liked him this game and of course Cortana was awesome.

Full Price.  If you like Halo, you'd like this.

@Lantern Cazz

...but he gave it a full price...So it's the shit that's totally worth your money.

trolling trolls aside. I really enjoyed Halo 4 it's a great game in terms of epic single player and the addicting multiplayer. But one thing i'd like to point out *Spoilers btw* did anyone else feel like 343 borrowed some stuff from star wars and indiana jones like the way that doctor in mission 7 died felt very much like the ark of the covenant. Also the beginning of the last level felt alot like the death star run in episode 4(It was epic don't get me wrong).

I agree with Jason. It's the same ol' shit.

Loved the story but the gameplay was a little on the repetetive side with the lack of enemy variety. 3 different new enemies and only 3 covenant types. Loved the Multiplayer WAY more than I thought I would though. Full Price.

i love the halo universe and the story and how 343 industries have modified the story from what bungie ended on. I really enjoyed the story which is basicly  cortannas story but i do agree the missions need to be changed a bit it is very repetitive. agree with jeffs rating and hope the next two games are even better.

I agree with Jeff, the thing I like about the Halo multiplayer compared to other shooters is that it isn't first to be seen, first to be killed. You actually dance around and depending how good the aim of the other person is and how well you move and react you still have a chance of winning.

I talked with Jason a bit about this, but as a big Halo fan, I can't fault you guys for your negative thoughts about Halo, especially the campaign. I know the story isn't shown well in the games, mostly in the extended universe, but I liked the ground work they put down in Halo 1 and then went out and found it. Also, what you clearly really liked about the multiplayer keeps me coming back, but then I also really like the continuing story, even if what they give you in game isn't that deep compared to what the actual universe lore is.

Its a series that I love and keeps me coming back again and again, but I totally get why not everyone loves, or even really likes it and I'm ok with that. I appreciate Jeff looking into the deeper story in the game's universe and that Jason actually found some of the fun of the multiplayer.

Noobs! You are all FPS NOOBS! BF3 is the greatest FPS of all times! And Jason, camper's are just the definition of a NOOB! :DDD JK

Hey guys Love the reviews and playthroughs. Thank you and keep 'em coming. I have bought so many games now because of this new portion to Spill. I love it!

Oh, and many people think Halo is hollow on top. Like you guys said, Halo behind the scene's is a masterpiece of Science ficiton. I really hope they continue to add stuff from the books in the game.
