With Halloween approaching I figured I would rip off of
Ghostwriters great blog idea and give people a little advice on what to be for this exciting holiday.
Halloween is my favorite holiday not only because of all the candy I get to eat (Mmmmm.....candy corn) but also because I love wearing costumes. I love coming up with crazy outfits that get me weird stares. When else is a good time to do this?
In the past I've been
Marilyn Monroe (not the most unique costume I know, but it was fun none the less), harely quinn, one year I wore a facehugger around my neck and had an alien bursting out of my chest...the sad thing was nobody got it. This year I'm hoping to save enough cash to be
Joan Holloway from Mad Men....no one will get that costume either, but atleast I wont look like every other trick or treater out this year (Even though I already stand out...being a 22 year old knocking on doors asking for candy)
So on that note...here are a few random ideas I have to make your Halloween costume just a little more unique.
Take a classic idea and make it different.
Everyone loves Star Wars costumes, but like any convention goer will tell you a million Storm Troopers and Darth Vaders gets a little repetitive. So why not take the characters and give them a little twist?

Make your costume cute, or outrageous, or super sexy. This sexy Darth Vader is fun and sexy and will definitely make you a hit at a costume party.

Here's a take on the popular Wonder Woman costume idea....making it a lot more unique.
And remember you don't have to look like the character to dress like 'em! Being someone different for a day is half the fun!

I love the idea of group costumes. Whether you're with a group of friends or family...you're sure to have fun and get lots of attention if you all follow a theme.

This costume kinda creeps me out, but I do love the dedication the entire family has to painting themselves yellow.

I think the only thing that would make this costume complete is the awesome Tetris music going on in the background.

I don't own an iPod...but this idea was too cute to pass up. It's a simple costume design that everyone can do...just grab some boxes and paint!
Besides working in groups you can just go for costumes that have that "wow...I would have never thought of that" factor.

Who in their right mind says to themselves "I need to be a lego block"?

The flying spaghetti monster is a costume not a lot of people will get unless they're internet nerds. Everyone else will just think you dressed like dinner.
And of course ladies when all else fails you can always dress up in super sexy costumes. I don't really do the sexy costume...not because I don't want to...I just can't find one that works well for me. I say if you have the body and the confidence...go out there and make a fanboys dream come true!

So please send me your Halloween pics and costume ideas. I love to hear how people enjoy my favorite holiday.
