If it's crap ... We'll tell you
No, it's not some fanfic version of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' where Dawn and Oz hook up - Seth Green and Michelle Trachtenberg are joining the cast of the indie drama 'Sexy Evil Genius'. The film follows a group of strangers who are brought together in an L.A. bar by their mutual ex-girlfriend Nikki Franklin, played by 'Battlestar Galactica' star Katee Sackhoff. Recently out on parole after murdering her latest ex-boyfriend, Nikki is sexy, unpredictable and most likely insane. While her motives behind bringing all her ex's together are a mystery, in one night the group will deal with revenge, romance and the sexy evil genius at the center of the evening.
In an interesting tidbit, the writer of the film, Scott Lew, is stricken with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) which has left him almost completely paralyzed. During writing, Lew literally typed the entire script out by using an infrared dot on his forehead to point at letters and words on a digital screen. All you hopeful screenwriters out there should take note and remember that the next time you feel like complaining about writing being "too hard".
'Sexy Evil Genius' starts shooting this week in Los Angeles and is expected in theaters in 2012. The film, which is being directed by 'Greek' exec producer Shawn Piller, also stars Billy Baldwin and 'Lost' alum Harold Perrineau Jr.
