Source: Super Hero Hype

Though casting decisions have gone largely unmade at this point, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment's 'Green Lantern' is steaming ahead, bringing tested talent aboard the production. According to SuperHeroHype, the $150 million comic book adaptation will be shot by cinematographer Dion Beebe, who worked with Rob Marshall on Memoirs of a Geisha and Chicago and took home an Academy Award for the former.

Even more exciting than that is who director Martin Campbell hired to help create the look and vision of the movie, production designer Grant Major and costume designer Ngila Dickson, both of whom won Oscars for their work on Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy. Major also fulfilled the same capacity on Jackson's remake of King Kong.

Art director François Audouy may not have won any Oscars, but his resume working in genre movies is impressive, everything from doing concept art for James Cameron's Avatar and I Am Legend, acting as art director for Watchmen and the first Transformers movie, and working in various art capacities on all three Spider-Man movies.

While director Campbell continues to add award winners to his crew, we'll be anxiously awaiting more casting announcements, which should be coming soon.

It's one thing to constantly make comic book characters into movies, but unlike the majority of them over the years that were made half-ass and for the sake of nostalgia, the project behind Green Lantern on the other hand is being taken seriously, especially with these names who being added to the production. Unlike all these other super-hero flicks that have been made to scam everyone and then get forgotten, this looks to have an impact the way Batman/DarkNight and Spiderman are being cared for. I can't wait for this, it's getting more and more intreguing.

YES! I'm very excited for this movie. I'm expecting a mix of Iron Man and Spiderman in terms of tone, but I'll gladly take whatever Campbell presents to me as an audience member.
