This is another DC and Warner Premier production. We've gotten some pretty good movies from this pair. As much as I liked Wonder Woman and The New Frontier, I think this is there best one yet. Here's the deal...
One of the reason I liked this one so much was, was the acting and writing for the Hal Jordan character. He's not some giant hero that we've seen before, in this movie, he's a normal guy who just happens to have the most epic powers ever. It's really cool to see his jourey through the movie. I thought the plot was gripping and the dialouge was better than expected. I was surpirsed by all the twists in the movie. The animation is so amazing and they really did a great job with the alien designs. The acting was good throughout. We have some really good voice actors for Sinestro and Hal Jordan. The action is GREAT, even better than the sequences in Wonder Woman. The movie treated the comics with respect, while inviting any new viewers to the series. In the movie we dig these characters. And we can seriously relate to Hal Jordan, that's the most important aspect of the film.
The negatives... nearly every piece of entertainment has some, and this movie isn't excluded. I thought the they did a great job developing Sinestro and Hal, but the movie was too short to develop the other lanterns. Speaking of the length, it was the same time as most of these movies ( Hour and 15 minutes), but the substance suffers. I wish they could just make a 90 minute movie. I thought that the climax and final act kinda dragged on you'll know what I mean when you see the film. They didn't quite focus enough on the 1st and 2nd act for me.
To rap this up, this is a really solid movie. I seriously want a sequel to this, it has plenty of promise. The movie is badass and I guarantee you will enjoy this film. Go and rent it soon, you won't regret it.

Ryan Reynolds better do a helluva job.
Green Lantern: First Flight- 8.5/10 Impressive/ Awesome
