This is going to be one of those blogs that were written up just because I couldn't sleep. But I will try to be informative and enjoyable for the meantime. I will cover post-apocalyptic films that I have only seen, and there's plenty enough to make a blog about it. I also came up with this topic because I've been playing Fallout 3 like non-stop.

WARNING: There will be spoilers so, ....yup.

First up was probably the most recent one I saw months back, The Road.

It was adapted from the book of the same name. The films tells the story of a father and son trying to survive a, well, post-apocalyptic(bet I'll be using that term a lot here) world while they head for the coastline in hopes of warmer environment. Along the way, they are met with the usual, raiders, cannibals, other survivors who don't seem to be too good at it and some who seem too good at it. I actually read the book right after I heard it was going to be adapted to a film(don't know why, I just saw it as an opportunity to have read a book to something that was going to be a film, as well as have actually read a book). The book turned out to a pretty bleak and yet touching and a real page turner(don't know why I just said that because it took me months to actually finish reading it). The movie turned out to be pretty much what I imagined while reading the book. It's not really a must see type of thing, but I'm glad I saw it, it's not bad.

Next up is When The Wind Blows.

I first heard about this movie from this very Spill website you are on now, so thanks Spill, because this movie have something that I felt was real heart wrenching and a real tearjerker. I just loved this movie. If you've been a Spiller for as along as I have, then you must have heard about this film too and MUST have seen it by now. It's about two elderly couple who try to survive the after effects for a nuclear bomb near the proximity of their small town. It's just so heart warming and yet still, again, heart wrenching to see the couple keep each other alive. Just watch it.

This is where the SPOILER stuff happens so you've been warned twice, don't bother bitchin' cause, just don't.

You ready?

Miracle Mile.

I love this movie.I love the whole atmosphere and how it was presented when the shit began to hit the fan. It just escalates to a thrilling movie.

By this point I started to look up stuff....ok, I got a good one. Another great. Brazil.

A real dystopian -ish film. There's just something I love about how the future was portrayed in 80's film, especially this film's grimmy grim looking future..

I've noticed that I've run out of stuff to say about the films I mentioned. This might be a good enough place to stop eh?

OOHH! I just remembered one..

Equilibrium.

That's a good way to end this.

Good list, but have you heard of a BBC film called 'Threads'? It scared me so much I couldn't finish it.
