Giant Gollum Artwork At New Zealand Airport
Peter Jackson's 'Lord of the Rings' films, soon to include three 'Hobbit' adaptations, are not merely loved by movie geeks. They are a point of national pride for many people of New Zealand, where the movies were shot. That pride is echoed in this massive Gollum statue that was just erected at Wellington Airport. Weta, Jackson's effect's company designed the massive figure. It's pretty spectacular. And I kind of love that it looks like it's hovering over the food court. Take a look at the images below, as well as a video of it's construction, and let us know what you think.
