If it's crap... We'll tell you

Apocalypse

Story: Apocalypse is based in a small town named Prescott Springs. It’s a medium sized town that has been overrun with “The Plague”. That is codename for: you guessed it, Zombies. This game is more about survival than anything. Sure, uncover the mystery behind all of this, but you have to get through 2 weeks. Imagine a town from fallout, except a little less radiated and battered. Now imagine it lifeless, with paper rolling down the street like tumble-weeds. Moving onto missions, they are pretty much mystery based into the last 5 missions, where the government comes to “save” you, actually intending to obliterate the town. You set up and ambush on rooftops, etc. In the end, the story is released to the public, and the president is impeached for authorizing this brutal act.
Gameplay: It’s very much like Dead Rising, except a little less mission focused. You go into houses and stores to find food and drink, and you can raid houses to pimp out your mansion. Yes, the noble land owner outside of town has let you use his safe, secluded mansion as your base of operations. At the mansion you can use the work bench, a table where you can combine different objects to make cool combinations of stuff. There are very few scripted events, but in some houses, you may get cut-scenes introducing key characters like Sadye, the technology whiz and Frank, your second in command (and possible co-op partner). In gameplay, scripted events are used when a zombie grabs you. It zooms into first preson and you must mash buttons to get out of the grasp and get back to 3rd person. There are also some for scares, like Scorchers RIGHT OUTSIDE THE WINDOW, or Zombies rushing through the doors, out of rooms, or through windows. There are a couple scenes like in Dead Space, and there are some when say a zombie is just facing a wall, and turns around with a loud screech. Also, in some larger buildings, you hear creepy noises in empty rooms. Back to the characters, when you find Sadye, she sets up a little tech base camp in the basement of the mansion, and she can alert you to incoming hordes and Scorchers so you can hide in houses, cover, or other hidey-holes. There are a shitload of weapons, and, like DR, you can use random environmental objects. Here are some Weapons: AK-47, 12 Gauge, Katanas, Riddick Sabers, Butterfly Knives, Sawed-Off Shotgun, M-16, Deagle, P90, Red 9, AUG, FAMAS, Shurikans, M1 Garand, Double Barreled Shotgun, Riot Shotgun, Grenade, Snipers and RPGs. You can venture into and onto any building in the town (on top of buildings is where the sniper would come in handy). You can steal any vehicle as long as it has gas or you have gas with you. While driving, there’s a gas meter in the corner. When you run out of gas, your car stops working. If you have extra gas tanks, you don’t shut-down. There’s also the addition of Red Faction: Guerilla style destruction. If you blow down a building, here’s how it can be fixed: there’s a mission where you go into a construction site to save 5 engineers. The more engineers you save, the faster they can re-build buildings you have destroyed. With 1 it takes about 15 minutes, and with 5 it takes about 4 minutes. You can save more throughout the story (side-quests activated by talking to the saved engineers at the mansion). On that note, other people you save can provide different services. You save gangsters, they serve as your backup, you can get medical supplies from the nurse, and the shady guy in the duster you rescue can go get furniture that you’ve marked in buildings. Also, there will be some missions where you have to gather up food and sleeping places like mattresses and sleeping bags(sporting goods store, anyone?) for all the saved. Where you place them is your choice. Now to some action: there’s free-running. I’m not talking Assassin’s Creed wall running, but something a normal human could do under extremely stressful circumstances. The free-running button does the simple things for you like climbing small ledges and grabbing onto fences that you’ll hop, but the rest you do with A and B. A jumps (like into windows from fire escapes or onto other buildings) and B grabs (for things like grabbing onto ledges when you didn’t make it far enough or grabbing onto things that you accidently over-jumped). And as for the mansion’s defenses, you can build turrets, rocket-launchers and mines with parts you find in the environment. By completing missions and saving people through random occurrences, you gain XP. More on that later.
City Sections:
Downtown: Mainly apartment buildings and corner stores. Largely infested with slow and fast zombies, and lots of survivors.
Burbz: The suburbs, with street with happy houses and gas stations. Good cars, lots of gas and more slow and fast zombies.
Work Station: Where the small town turns into a cut off section of NY. Several Skyscrapers and big name companies.
Industrial: Factories and Power plants. This section holds a big part of the story.
Out of Town: Where the mansion is. Few zombies in the fields, good for target practice.
Enemy Types:
Zombies: The norm. Slow zombies that lumber around pointlessly. In large groups, they can pose a threat.
Rushers: Fast zombies. Dangerous in packs. They tend to charge aimlessly and batter you, but they can also flank and use some other tactics.
Guard Dogs: The Zombie watchers. They have glowing green eyes that leave trails (Wanted: WOF suit style). They can’t see or hear, due largly to the gouged out eyes and ripped off ears, and they’re terrifying. They usually roam in pairs, and you can use cologne bottles to distract them.
Harpies: Flying zombies. The skin on their faces has been mostly ripped off, leaving a partially displayed skull. They have no legs, so there’s just a spinal-cord hanging out. They attack by swooping in one at a time. ANNOYING.
Government Agents: When the government comes to wipe you out, they bring help. These guys use cover and tactics with deadly efficiency.
Scorchers: Giant Zombies that breathe fire. They are largely made up of muscle and no flesh, so they kind of weak. The head is their weak spot, so roofs are the best place to attack them from. If you’re on the ground, best to hide before they see you. Either that, or run.
Demolishers: The other giant species. They look like giant demons, with horns and spikes protruding out from all over them. Sometimes you’ll see them fighting with other Demolishers or Scorchers. They mainly dwell in the industrial work-area.
Leveling stats for XP:
Pain Threshold: Makes the health bar longer.
Pain Resistance: Take less damage in falls and other natural things.
Zombie Pain Resistance: Take less damage from all zombies.
Melee Damage: More damage with all melee weapons.
Ranged Damage: More damage with all ranged weapons.
Running Speed: Increases running speed.
Jump Height: Increases jump height… obviously.
Controls:
A: Jump/Select
B: Grab Object/Environment
Y: Enter Vehicle/Mark
X: Melee Attack/Establish as quick-select weapon
RT: Shoot/Throw
RB: Open Inventory
LT: Zoom
LB: Free-Run
Click R-Stick: First person
Click L-Stick: Stealth Mode (duck)
Left/Right on the D-Pad: Go through quick-select weapons
Up on D-Pad: Flashlight

Combinations of Objects
Flashlight + Duck tape + any gun= Gun with flashlight
Chain + Bowling Ball= Wrecking ball
XXXL Bag + Air Mattress= A safe landing from a high fall
Glue + Grenade= Sticky Grenade
Riddick Knives + Hammer + 4 Steel Plates= Climbing Tools
Katana + Screw Driver + Wrench + Blowtorch= Flaming Sword
Etc. Etc. Etc.

Full List of Conventional Weapons:
AK-47, 12 Gauge, Katanas, Riddick Sabers, Butterfly Knives, Sawed-Off Shotgun, M-16, Deagle, P90, Red 9, AUG, FAMAS, Shurikans, M1 Garand, Double Barreled Shotgun, Riot Shotgun, Grenade, Dragov Sniper, Military Sniper, Skorpian.

Special Buildings with Psychos:
Prescott Springs Loans: A 20 story massive work building. Falls at the end of the game. There’s a crazy business man in the cafeteria.

Will add more later. Any suggestions?
