If it's crap... We'll tell you

I'm going to start a quick series of my ideas for stand-alone games/sequels. None of these were done on the spot, so I'm going to post them in rapid succession.

DARK SECTOR 2

Story: You’ve made it back to America, (After you killed Mezner, a chopper came) but you are held in quarantine, because they are worried about the infection spreading, but they’re too late. On the news it shows that a small town out of New York has become infected. Turns out that Mezner sent a crate of infection samples to America just a while before you killed him. It shows a black and white flash back of the people in Hazmat suits breaking one little test tube of infection on the ground and then they run back on the ship. The army base you’re staying at is attacked by infected thus enabling you to escape. Once you’ve escape, the infection has already spread to New York and the whole city is infected, but there are also a shitload of troops there, and they view you as an infected so they shoot at you. But after a couple of NY levels, the Lasrians come. The dudes in Hazmat suits are storming the beaches, killing both infected and soldiers so you find a walky talky on a soldier and radio in to the base you were at. (It wasn’t totally destroyed) from the first game. You start taking military action against the infected and Lasrians, sometimes with other U.S soldiers fighting alongside you. The story goes on from there, you going to several cities and docks and places and stuffz…. But then you get a message on the news about a month after you escape New York (by this time the infection is halfway across the U.S and seeping into Canada) about a man who claims he has found the cure. He’s in Oregon and you must go there before the infection hits and protect him. Eventually he gives you the cure after being infected himself (he’s the last boss) and you’re viewed as a big ass hero.

Gameplay: The gameplay is much similar to the first one. Lots of gore, slicing, shooting and more gore. Of course you have the Glaive, a very important and powerful weapon, but you also have an arsenal of new infection weapons to use against your enemies. And of course a new gameplay dynamic (well, new to Dark Sector) is blind fire. Finally you can fire a gun without getting shot back. There’s also more guns to blast with, (Oh, and only the Lasrians have anti infection guns. You can pick up a soldiers gun anytime and just re-equip your personal weapon at the next Black Market you find) and this time they’re a lot cheaper. And of course you have to start the game with your trusty pistol. Also now the melee attacks are a lot more responsive!! Yay! Like a dude runs up to you and you slice him with the Glaive, and he rips in half. Of course that won’t happen with the butt of a gun. Here’s a list of guns in the Black Market:
P= Pistol MG= Machine Gun E=Explosive S=Shotgun SN=Sniper
Secondary Weapons:
Pistol $4000 P
Automatic Pistol $8000 P
Skorpion $9000 MG
P90 $12500 MG
Goblin $11000 MG
Kriss Super V $17000 MG
Sawn-off $9500 S
Revolver $7500 S
Uzi $8000 MG
Deagle $8900 P
Mini Mine Thower $24000 E

Primary Weapons:
Lasrian MN-43 $10000 MG
Ak-47 $15000 MG
Famas $21000 MG
M16 $25000 MG
Imbel MD2 $19000 MG
Steyr Mannlicher $24500 (Bolt Action)
Thompson $20000 MG
Shotgun $19500 S
Riot Shotgun $25000 S
Jackhammer $28000 S
Auto Shotgun $35000 S
Truvelo .50 $30000 SN
M-93 Black Arrow $32000 SN
RPG $50000 E

Okay, so that’s the list of possible guns in the game. Now you equip the guns with the D-Pad, using left as secondary, right as primary, down as grenades, and up to check the stats like ammo and $$$. Since the LB button is now open for new use, it replaces the firearm selection with the Infection selection when you hold it down. Holding it down allows you to assign one defensive power and one offensive power at a time and they can be changed anywhere, anytime, on the fly. It’s like choosing a gun, just with evil biotic infection abilities. Up and left are assigned to defensive, down and right are assigned to offensive powers. Since there are four abilities for offensive and defensive, you can double tap the up, down, left, or right D-pad to get another power. It’s like selecting your front mount in Army of 2. Throughout the course of the game you can upgrade any of the abilities you’ve acquired. There are 4 possible levels of all abilities, each getting stronger and evolving. (First upgrade: $5000. Second upgrade $15000. Third upgrade: $30000. Fourth upgrade: $55000) Here are the wonderful deadly powers you get throughout the course of the game:

Offensive:
Glaive:
Well of course. You don’t really need a description for this one. It’s the same as in Dark Sector 1, maybe just with a few new abilities to cause maximum pain… (Oh and you start the game with a 2 star Glaive upgrade rating)
Iron Fist:
Just what it says. An Iron Fist. Your fist grows quite a bit larger and has a few small spikes poking out around places. Of course it can be used for crazy ass melee attacks, punching people across rooms and bursting through other people’s cover, but its main use it Shockwave. Which is a giant shockwave. It’s activated by pressing RB and it has a 10 second cool down. The shockwave throws basically everything around you within a 35 ft. radius into the air at level 2.
Whip:
Yay, you’re Ghost Rider! The whip is a medium range weapon, made out of… infection metal, I guess that’s what it’s called. It works up to about 15 feet as a melee weapon, but it can also grow longer to wrap around people and rip them up. (RB) The body part you aim at is the body part that gets wrapped and ripped. Aim at the chest, the body rips in half, at the head, head rips off. Aim at the arm, etc., etc.
Telekinetic Push:
It’s the last power you get, and if you’ve played the first Dark Sector you know why. Mezner had a scene where he uses a Telekinetic Wave to knock you out, and you get that ability too. As the name says, this is a Telekinetic Push. It’s like Force Push in all the star wars games. With this ability up to the fourth level, you can force push someone within a 40 foot radius up to 50 feet. If they’re close to you, you can blow them away at least 75 feet. And if there’s a wall in the way…. It’s like jumping off a 80 story building. BOOM, limbs flying.

Defensive:
Telekinetic Shield:
This is the same as the first game, but just quite a bit more powerful. At level 4 the shield completely surrounds you, no one can enter it and it reflects all bullets back in the direction they came from.
Invisibility:
Just the same as the other game. The only enhancement you get when you upgrade it is more time to be invisible, but at level 3 it allows you to fire your secondary weapon, and at level 4 it allows you to use all your guns and abilities.
Slow Time:
Well what do YOU think it does?! Slows down time, of course! You start out ALSO being in slow-mo at level 1, but at level 3 you can run normal speed. At level 4 you get X2 damage and move at normal speed.
Telekinetic Wave:
Mezner’s sig move. Everybody around you clutches their head in pain, sometimes their heads even explode (HINT HINT LEVEL 4). It’s not like all their heads will explode, but a select few could. It’s basically a disabling attack so you can pick off the little annoyances up in buildings or crouching behind cover. The effect radius increases with every level and at level 4 you acquire the painful YOUR HEAD ESPLODE move.

Suits:
As expected you acquire your metal death suit quite early in the game, but you can also buy different armor suits and trick them out for online play. More on that later. You buy these suits at Black Markets (of course) and there are 3 armor ratings, much like Army of 2. There’s light, medium, and heavy. An example of medium would be your original “Rhino” suit, and an example of heavy would be Nadia’s suit. There’s 3 different suits for every armor rating, each costing the same, just to fit your taste in stomping metal death armor. (Nadia’s suit is unlocked after beating Brutal difficulty) Different types of armor are of course going to effect your movement and ability to withstand different amounts of damage. Heavy armor would mean slower movement but some pretty crazy shielding from bullets. Light armor means you run fast as hell and can basically dodge bullets but you can’t take as much damage, and medium is a good balance of the two.
