Arsène Lupin the Third posted a statusIt's not especially rare that a studio would employ unusual means to promote a film, but I must say I am simultaneously impressed with and creeped out by Fox's viral marketing campaign for their upcoming film 'Chronicle.' They hired radio-controlled airplane designers to whip up a few models that look eerily like flying people. These designers then flew the model airplanes around New York City, giving the appearance that three people with the superpower of flight had suddenly appeared in town. The stunt caused quite a stir as one would imagine. Up close, it is abundantly clear that these are in fact model airplanes, but from any amount of distance, the illusion is pretty incredible.
