As we move closer and closer to July, and move slightly out of the wake of 'The Avengers' titanic success, I suspect the marketing for 'The Dark Knight Rises' will get more and more aggressive. Today, a quartet of new banners for the film hit the web. They aren't too spectacular, but they play to both the appearance of Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) and to the war between Bane (Tom Hardy) and Batman (Christian Bale). Take a look at the banners below and let us know what you think.

'The Dark Knight Rises' hits theaters July 20th

@ Phillip, thats very true its just hard to understand and trust your opinions and feelings when you listed Phantom Menace as one of your favorite movies of all time...

There's a clear difference between "I don't think Nolan's a good director" and expressing it as just your opinion and an out-and-out tyraid that that makes it seem like anyone whom disagrees (fun fact: in this case it's the vast majority of people) is flat out wrong, like there's no room for anyone to find any talent here. Then to back that up immediately by attacking the one reference the next guy makes in the exact same overconfident manner?

To quote Louie CK: it's not that you have this opinion, "it's the fucking arrogance."

Most of the rest of what I saw was how Avengers was overrated, various musicians that are likely unpopular are awesome. If someone has some opinions that are contrary to the majority, that's totally fine, but if that's all I see in the first four posts from them? I tend to assume troll.

@ Phillip, Scorsese and Kubrick are the two greatest directors ever in my opinion so no arguing there but as great as Ridley Scott is the man has made some terrible movies that aren't half as good as any of Nolan's. Nolan has never made anything as bad as Jeunet's Alien movie. I love both of Affleck's movies but its still too early to rate him properly in my opinion.

@Phil  If Nolan is a terrible director, then there can't be a possible good director in your eyes.  Unless you are completely retarted

@ Phillip De Poalo please give us an example of a talented director? maybe we have different definitions of talent. No director has a perfect record but Nolan is about as close as we are going to see these days

This Phil dude just registered, going around saying all kinds of intended-to-annoy shit in douchey ways. Pretty transparent troll. Go practice a bit and come on back.

I recommend everyone ignores him.

@Phillip De Poalo  Oh shit did you really just say that? Ohhh man this is going to be good!

I can imagine Catwoman being Talia Al Ghul

Comment by Mark Stronghold on May 26, 2012 at 1:05pm

@Christopher

Because you are not a director.  I hate it when people see that they can't imagine something in this universe.  Before batman begins came out, no one imagined how Ra's Al ghul could exist.  I guy that can live forever.  No one could imagine how the Joker could exist either.  Im sure now you can say, of course it makes sense how they could exist inn this universe.  But thats only because you've seen it and it worked and you've gotten used to it.   If they could make a clown serious, they could make a luchador serious.  Can you imagine this, isnt an arguement, because someone always could imagine it.  And it could work.
