Four Join Stallone's 'Bullet to the Head'

Source: Variety

Casting continues on Sylvester Stallone's 80's-inspired cop flick 'Bullet to the Head', with four actors being put into key roles. Christian Slater, Holt McCallany, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Sung Kang have all joined the cast of the film, which is being adapted from the graphic novel by the same name.

According to Slashfilm, Sung Kang - who recently starred as Han Lue in 'Fast Five' - will be playing the young NYC cop sidekick to Stallone's experienced New Orleans hitman as they exact revenge for the death of their respective partners and take the fight to the people responsible - a fight that takes them from New Orleans all the way to the halls of Washington, D.C. Meanwhile Variety reports that McCallany will play a crooked cop who partners with Kang, while Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will play the main villain of the film - "a powerful attorney who’s trying to cover up his scam to exploit poor neighborhoods that have been ravaged by Hurricane Katrina." Christian Slater will play a kind of go-between for the two sides.

Adapted by Alessandro Camon ('The Messenger'), and directed by Walter Hill of '48 Hours' fame, 'Bullet to the Head' is currently in development at Dark Castle Entertainment, with no release date set.

Another Stallone film? Just retire and live at Planet Hollywood already.

I remember when Christian Slater was not a joke. He needs a comeback in the worst kind of way. I'd like to see him back in good films, My own Worst Enemy and that *shudder* Uwe Bolle crap aside, let's give him another chance. He was great in very bad things!

They should replace Christian Slater with Timmothy Olyphant.

Loving the fact McCallany is getting work after Lights Out was cancelled.
