First Trailer For 'Trouble With The Curve'

It seems that toward the end of every year we are now due at least one Clint Eastwood movie. He's usually directing, if not directing and starring, in something timed just right for awards season. This year, however, Eastwood is merely starring in and producing his requisite annual movie: 'Trouble with the Curve.' He plays an aging baseball scout dealing with the changes in the business as well as his troubled relationship with his daughter. The film, directed by Robert Lorenz (a longtime Eastwood producing partner making his directorial debut), costars Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, and John Goodman. The first trailer for 'Trouble with the Curve' has just hit the web. It looks a bit schmaltzy, but that's not always a bad thing I suppose. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

'Trouble with the Curve' swings into theaters September 21st

This looks like a nice movie to watch on TV when I have nothing else to do. I look forward to watching it on some random night in the distant future.

Justin Timberlake? I can hear Leon saying 'FUCK THIS MOVIE' just by hearing that guy's name

Huh, Matthew Lillard is here too. Looks fine enough.

Million Dollar Baby crossed with Moneyball crossed with...I dunno, a decent television show. I'm not going to write it off completely just yet, but it's not like I am eagerly anticipating it. The cast looks all right though and of course it is good to see Clint in another movie (looks like retirement couldn't stop his love for acting). It's the feature film debut for the writer and director though (the director has been Clint's assistant director for numerous films), so that could be good or bad news.

Also, I actually got to meet Clint in Sun Valley when he announced the Romney thing (not trying to talk politics here so spare me those comments). Even though he is definitely showing his age more (they put a lot of make-up on him here), he is still the same awesome, tough and genuinely friendly figure we have thought of him being. One of numerous reasons he is one of my favorite Hollywood icons!

"Schmaltzy" is exactly what I'd call this trailer

Is JT playing a manic pixie dream guy?  Is that a thing?

Goddamn those "indie" strings.

Nope, never got around to it. XD

@Agashi I guess you didn't see The Descendants then.

Some of these scenes feel kind of forced. Mostly the ones with Adams, but I might give it a watch. And holy sh*t, it's Matthew Lillard! I haven't seen him since 2004.
