Johnny Depp in 'The Rum Diary'

The first trailer for 'The Rum Diary' has been released. The film - based on the slightly autobiographical novel by Hunter S Thompson - details the experiences of freelance journalist Paul Kemp as he moves from New York to Puerto Rico to write. Kemp (played by Johnny Depp) is at a critical point in his life and as he struggles to find a niche for himself amidst a group of lost souls all bent on self-destruction, he somehow finds his own integrity. The film will be in theaters October 28th:
