First Trailer for 'The Big Year'

The first trailer for the "competitive birding" comedy 'The Big Year' has been released. Seemingly equal parts 'City Slickers' and 'The Bucket List', the "comedy" (and we use that term loosely) follows three friendly rivals - Jack Black, Steve Martin and Owen Wilson - as they grow tired of their obligations and responsibilities and spend an entire year competing to find the rarest birds in the world, while experiencing a life-altering adventure in the process. The film will be in theaters October 14th:

All you have to say is Jack Black, and I'm out immediately. I haven't liked anything this guy has done since School Of Rock (not including Tropic Thunder, because he wasn't the star).

How is this supposed to look bad?
The timing for this movie couldnt be more prefect.
The world is still in a recession. Many people still dont have jobs and are feeling very lost.
A movie about a bunch of people who will spend 1 year in their life having fun and finding themselves couldn't feel more appropriate.
Plus the talent in front and behind the camera looks more than capable of making a funny movie or at least a feel good movie.
This is the kind of movie that i would want to see right now. Being a 28 year old unemployed professional. Not sure if this a pure comedy or maybe it might turn into a pseudo-existentialist drama half way through but i'm very interested.

Is Jack Black dating Rashida Jones in this? Dude, as a fellow fat man, I know for a fact that that is BULLSHIT!
As for the film itself... meh. I would have loved this in a bit more dark. The idea of these three going all out to cut each others throats in competition over bird watching sounds a lot more funny than the trailer makes it look.

It could be good with the cast and the story it has. Even if the three main cast don't do so well, a little bit of Sheldon Cooper in this film will help things out. Bazinga!!!!
