First Trailer For Michael Bay's 'Pain & Gain'

I'd been hearing a lot of strange things about Michael Bay's weightlifter comedy 'Pain & Gain,' but still wasn't sure exactly what it was we'd be in for when the movie hit theaters. Thanks to this first trailer, that fog of uncertainty has substantially lifted. Starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the story centers on a pair of gym rats who decide to kidnap a wealthy jerk (Tony Shalhoub) and steal his money. The one thing that became remarkably apparent as I watched this trailer was that, yes, that is exactly what Michael Bay thinks a comedy looks like. I'll reserve further judgment until I see it. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Never thought i'd be looking forward to a Michael Bay movie, but this looks like it could be good.

This is making me have Southland Tales flashback. These seems so remove from reality in a bad way.

I was really curious to see this movie until I read a 3 part article on the the real life Sun Gym gang. This movie will probably have little or nothing to do with the actual events. The gang wasn't the harmless, goofy guys portrayed in the trailer. They were cold blooded and sadistic murderers. I doubt if Bay has the directing chops to capture the true essence of what actually went down. Chances are he'll give it the Bad Boys treatment. The Coens would have knocked it out of the park. Here's the link if anyone's interested.
