First Trailer For Judd Apatow's 'This Is 40'

Today the first trailer for 'This is 40,' Judd Apatow's sequel(ish) to 'Knocked Up,' has hit the web. The film focuses on the secondary characters from 'Knocked Up' played by Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd as they arrive at that magical age. The trailer also hints at the return of Jason Segel's character and an appearance by 'Bridesmaids' Melissa McCarthy. Overall, it looks a little too somber for my taste, but hopefully some funny moments will be mined from the script by this talented cast. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

'This is 40' hits theaters December 21st

A spread eagled Paul Rudd holding a mirror by his asshole: my nightmare for the next few days

YES YES FUCK YES!!! Move over Dark Kight Rises and The Hobbit, there is a new contendor for best movie of the year. Judd Apatow is unquestionably the greatest comedy writer and director of the modern age. This trailler even has one of my current favorite songs in it. I'm counting the days.

Apatow is becoming tiresome.

When is The "Freaks And Geeks" reunion movie gonna happen?    I will probably check out a matinee of this movie.  I liked Apatow's other flicks.

I'll see it...looks fun, and I always like Apatow.

@Armstrong: Apatow hasn't actually directed/produced anything since 2009's Funny People, a movie that was divisive but still generally considered to be good (I liked it a lot). It might feel like the market is over-saturated with Judd Apatow since so many comedy movies have adapted his style, but to say that Apatow himself needs to take a break is sort of ridiculous.

@ Kenshin That song made me not enjoy this trailer in any fashion whatsoever.

Apatow needs to stop making movies for a few years, then maybe his stuff will seem decent again.

You know, because I wasn't sick of that song the first time I heard it.
