Allan, Dane of Thrones posted a statusRidley Scott's 'Prometheus' is rapidly becoming one of my most anticipated movies of 2012. How much this 'Alien' prequel will actually connect back to the 1979 classic is uncertain, but the more glimpses we are given of the film the more it looks like an amazing sci-fi epic all on its own. Recently the first official poster for the film was released, which bears a background image that should be familiar to you if you peeped the images from the magazine spread. Take a gander at the poster and tell us what you think.
'Prometheus' opens June 8, 2012

Comment by Happy Birthday Roboto on December 16, 2011 at 9:23pm Oh cool, it took me several days but now I can see the big giant head, I wonder if there's an incoming message (let me know if you get the reference)!
Comment by Ruben Baeza on December 16, 2011 at 4:11pm Wow
Comment by Lunatik on December 16, 2011 at 2:55pm He did mention in an interview that this movie will be scary so hopefully it will be as creepy as Alien was.
Comment by Richard Dempsey on December 16, 2011 at 2:50pm So seeing this.
Comment by Mr. Plainview on December 16, 2011 at 2:07pm Ridley Scott is sort of an enigma for me. Out of the movies he's directed I've completely loved about 95% of them however the other 5% I've hatted on such a level as to wish his demise. So I've got high hopes and wish this to be another example of how to properly make an amazing movie that withstands the test of time. Cheers Ridley Scott surprise and awe me, and if you don't I'll hate you forever; or until you make your next movie which will undoubtedly rock.
Comment by Christian Bergman Jr. on December 16, 2011 at 6:39am I kind of hope the 3D doesn't ruin it and I end up spending the whole thing wishing it was a 35mm production. I think it's as much within the Alien universe as Blade Runner was. I mean maybe Scott didn't see why not to and thought it might actually better the story if it were told inside that universe.
Comment by Nick Herring on December 16, 2011 at 3:54am Looking forward to seeing this. I kind of hope it doesn't have too many noods to the Alien films.
The giant statues remind me a little of the marker from dead space.
