First Look at 'The Walking Dead: Season Two'

AMC has premiered the first look at "the walkers" from the upcoming second season of the hit series 'The Walking Dead'. It's a slight departure from the first season, with slight changes in the zombie makeup and eyes. In an accompanying press release, producer Frank Darabont had this to say about the production:

While the new contacts look a little alien-ish, only time (and I'm sure rabid fans) will tell whether they're a good choice.

Most of those zombies look like crap. They look like MONSTERS when they are supposed to be WALKING DEAD. I hate it when zombie actors snarl like animals and try to look scary!

I am a fan of the comic and a fan of the show. I have no problem with how the show is doing. If you are not a fan of where they are taking it. fine, stick to the comics. let us enjoy this and stop the fucking nerd bitching

Couldn't care less. And I was really looking forward to the show before it premiered. Huge fan of the 'graphic novel'. And this isn't once of those 'well of course the books better' cases- no it's more about the fact(s) that the story went off the deep end and in another direction completely after episode 1, that the character development is way off, that they've introduced some characters that are so damn cooky cutter and aren't even from the comic, they've made some characters unlikable and missed the core of them.
By the end of issue six in the comic it's went to a surprising and ballsy place- one that shocks and grabs you and 80 issues later has the same effect. Because there are no dialog boxes in the comic it could translate over nearly panel for panel like Sin City did- but nope somebody had to get ahold of the source material and thought they could change it for the better. But I guess 'for the better' means missing the point of some character entirely, not having the balls to go were the comic does (Carl shooting someone living in the throat and many other things) and subbing in some cheesy ass characters.
Fuck the show. Love the comic. As for the guy who plays Rick- even before he was in a coma- how the hell is a country boy that pale? WTF man?! Sorry for the rant guys.

The chick just has naturally large eyes and the filling effect of the contacts and dark around the eyes just makes it look worse. Heres a really bad photoshop for comparison
