First Look at 'The Last Airbender' and thoughts
Hello fellow Spilldos and Avatards alike, thanks to USA Today we now have our first official look at M. Night Shymalan's adaptation of "Avatar, The Last Airbender."

Okay then. Putting aside my opinions on the casting controversy and M. Night Shymalan in general, I can't say that I'm wowed as of yet. Not that there's anyhting specifically bad about the pictures, there's just nothing that's really getting my hopes up as of yet.
Aang's outfit looks pretty good, though i wish his arrow(if that's supposed to be an arrow) stood out more. And while I think Dev Patel will make a good Zuko, really? First look at Zuko and you don't show his scar or any armor.
Hopefully we'll have a better idea of what to expect when the trailer premires with Transformers.

Wow, yet another asian film starring asian characters played by Europeon Stereotypes.
Fuck you, movie. Concidering Shymalan cannot seem to put any kind of emotion into any of his characters, I am predicting a dry, bland film....slow in pace and dull, til the predictable end.

thay seem alright...I'm still waiting for a trailer or at least a cllip...
My problem is that the first season was pretty long, and squishing them all into a 2 hour movie seems, Risky...
'Cuz i honostly want to see the hippies nomads on the big screen when he makes a sequel!

While Night has certainly not attempted a comedy before, he definitely has a fine sense of humor. There are genuinly funny moments in some of his previous films. Hell, I wished Lady in the Water had just been a comedy about the people living in the complex. I find them more interesting that all the fantasy stuff.

Yeah, I'm holding back judgment until I see some actual footage. But at least, M. Night is showing some effort unlike the crew of Dragonball...>:(

M. Night has never really attempted an action or comedy movie before, so it's still early to judge in that regard

Now, I hear that people are talking about if the movie is gonna suck or not but I believe this movie is gonna be, I won't say good, but at least entertaining for the fans since M. Night whatshisname is working alongside the creators of Avatar and he also said that he wanted the story to be as faithful to the show as possible.
Plus we got Patel acting as Zuko, and even though he looks nothing like the character he is one hell of an actor so I think we can expect a good performance from him.
