One of many the remakes on MGM's roster is their reboot of Brian De Palma's 1976 classic 'Carrie.' Chloe Moretz ('Kick-Ass') will be stepping into the role of the bullied girl with telekinetic powers. Recently, this first image of Moretz as the titular outcast hit the web. Obviously a photo taken right after the recreation of the original film's most iconic scene, Moretz is covered in blood and seems in a daze. I'm sold. Just below that is our first look at Julianne Moore as Carrie's psycho-religious mother. It's not at all hard to believe that Moore and Moretz could be mother and daughter. Take a look at the images below and let us know what you think.

'Carrie' hits theaters March 15th, 2013

@Jordan Hoffman, Man you haven't even seen a trailer! I could go on about how wrong you are, but its just easier to call you stupid.

Hope its better than Carrie 2.0 #Fingerzcrossed :-)

Is this really necessary? These images so closely resemble images from the '76 movie that I wonder. What's the point of remaking a movie (by which I mean "What's the point ARTISTICALLY?" since I understand what the point is COMERCIALLY) if it's only going to copy the original?

Yeah, it's gonna suck. Ain't nothing "microscopical" about those chances.

@Jordan Hoffman

Critic wise I've never seen anything beyond "she delivered a good performance in this picture".

You haven't seen/read enough reviews then. I did. And they do go beyond that.

I garuntee this movie is gonna suck.

Well if you garuntee then I might as well take your word for it. Right. Wrong? Between the great case and director the chances of this sucking are microscopical. The only question is how close will come to the original.

Well of course it's my opinion, though I do find the overwhelming love for her very creepy. Critic wise I've never seen anything beyond "she delivered a good performance in this picture". I think your lumping everybody in a hyperbolic statement hurts your argument more than it helps it, but whatever. I garuntee this movie is gonna suck.

i wonder if they'll underestismate the head count of victims like the others...

NICE so they won't ignore the real ending then?for  once

@Jordan Hoffman:

It's your opinion. Meanwhile, most critics and most people who saw her  movies strongly disagree.

Bright future: Sure, I have no doubt that she'll be something someday.

But she's just an average calliber actress at this point. She's got some creepy following from grown men who found her character in Kick-Ass something to be enjoyed. But yeah, she's reaaaaaaaaally nothing spectacular as of now. She's not bad, but there's nothing there right now, she's meh.
