First Image Of Russell Crowe From Aronofsky's 'Noah'

There's been a lot of news over the last year about Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah,' mostly due to its revolving door of casting announcements. The current roster includes Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, and Russell Crowe as the titular Biblical ship captain. Today, the first image of Crowe as Noahhit the web. I wish it were a better image, in fact it could be just as easily be a pic of Crowe in any period epic...or just during a bad week. Take a look at the image below and let us know what you think.

I find it fascinating how people can't simply enjoy a story of survival, and would rather nitpick the source material simply because they have a personal beef with the religions (i.e. since Judaism, Islam AND Christianity accept he tale of Noah's Ark and the Great Flood within their respective traditions).  If the movie is good, then it should stand for the quality of the film-making involved.  Truth.  My personal problem with this is that there are more stories out there to be told from other traditions and cultures.  Example, when is the last time an African tale was depicted in film?  How about a tale from the Amerind culture?  The only reason why there are stories being told from a Asian perspective is because of the influence Asia has on the West, via the wuxia film genre for instance.  Truth.

I will be waiting for the scene where he goes to  the north pole to collect 2 polar bears, walrus and seals...The scene where he goes to the rainforest to get 2 of every insect..." because as we all know" it's not like ants live in colonies that support their queens just 2 of each will do according to the bible...They also better have all the extinct animals in there too that have died post flood, why not stick to teh fiction?....they also better have the Nefelem the spawn of the angels that came to earth and fucked women and became superhumans and were corrupting/ruling mankind at the time...you know to just throw the get the fuck out of here with this bullshit o' meter right off the charts.....

Put me on a ship for a year with 70,000+ spiders, and there'd be some major drama too. I'm pretty sure i'd burn that floating hell down, regardless of the fact the motherfucker was on an open, endless sea!

Some of you might be surprised to learn that Noah dodged flaming meteoriets as they fell on the cities of Sodom and Gamora (this segmen will be filmed be Michael Bay), fought sea pirates led by the briggand Conan (played by Channing Tatum with a black hair dyejob and bronzer), was swallowed by a sea monster while searching for his son, an animated boy of wood (who will be played by Chloe Mortiz) and befriended a fishman (played by Kevin Costner) with a convertable boat the helped him find the last Dry Land.
