We've been talking a lot lately about Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah' mostly because there has been a bit of a casting carousel going on with this upcoming Biblical epic. While all that is interesting, we still hadn't seen anything from the set. That changes today. The 'Black Swan' director tweeted this picture of the massive ship that will be used in his film under construction. He voiced his excitement over seeing the gargantuan vessel beginning to take shape. The film will star Russell Crowe as the titular shipbuilder. Take a look at the image below and let us know what you think.

I think it'll be great, it's got a good director on board and most of what Aronofsky's made in the past has been incredible.

The fable of Noah's Ark has way too much fiction for me to suspend my disbelief.

Athiest are mad for the fact that they weren't allowed on the boat but every other animal was.  It's a beautiful story, Lol.

@Etienne D'août: You = "troll".  There, I said THAT.  ;)

Anyway, I'm surprised that they would need to build a set, considering that CGI was created to "simulate" any environment on the big screen, and that someone had already built a replica of the fabled vessel:

I don't think Russel Crowe AND the animals will fit in this arc...Someone has to go...I'm looking at your fat ass Crowe.

Makes me think of the construction site of the spaceship set for the film in 8 1/2.
